"I contacted JB's Wood Floor Maintenance for refinishing some worn hardwood floors in my house. John got back to me quick and was very helpful laying out a rough estimate over the phone as well as scheduling an in home estimate. During the estimate John was very thorough and I was impressed about how forthwith he was about the different options for finishes, what the prices were, and the features of each type of finish. I got onto the schedule quickly and his crew showed up at the agreed upon time. During the sanding process there was no dust that was kicked up in the other living areas. There was also no dust left after the end of the project. I originally wanted to go with a lighter finish for my floors, and his crew applied two samples on the sanded floor so I could see the difference in person. The finished product looks amazing and there wasn't a spec of dust anywhere."

"They are simply the best. They did stairs and entire upstairs. They are gorgeous. Incredible attention to detail. All employees have been with company at least 10 years. They recommended stain for upstairs which turned out to be perfect! They matched oak stairs to some mahogany trim. Spot on! Peoples reaction when they see them: â Wowâ . Had had another company start. When I asked if they were going to Sand again stated they were done. Eagle came in, resanded-night and day difference. Eagle sanded out every imperfection left by other company. These guys know what they are doing. Professional and cleaned up all dust. Didnâ t create much dust to clean. I am picky. Wish all contractors were this good and honest. Good people."

"We had the floors done in 3 stages. After the amazing job on the first room and hallway, we were convinced Josh was our go-to guy. Now that all the floors are done I fully stand by that assertion. All the floors look amazing and the work was done quickly, professionally, and at a very reasonable price."

"The estimator came out within a few days, the work was scheduled for two weeks later and finished in two and a half weeks. The installers worked quickly and were responsive to my requests for the wood flooring. They installed a wood floor in one room, completing the install, sand and stain on day one and the final coats on day two. The work was reviewed by a supervisor who was here at the beginning of each day and at the end of the project. It looks great."

"We had about 500 square feet of hardwood flooring to refinish in our newly purchased home in St. Paul. The hardwood floors were covered with carpeting for decades, and they were in very poor condition visually: lots of stains, water marks, and imperfections. One of the bedrooms had a waterbed at some point which further damaged the flooring with a terrible X mark. I came across Anton's company through the good reviews on Angie's List and decided to inquire for a quote. Anton responded quickly and we scheduled an estimate. He was punctual, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I could tell he was passionate about home improvement and getting our 100-year-old hardwood restored to optimal condition. The estimate was lower than I expected, and his professionalism was evident, so we decided to go with Anton. The job was performed on time and finished one day ahead of schedule. Anton's project manager, Sergei, was also friendly and punctual. Sergei kept us informed about the progress of the project, and when it was finished he made sure we were satisfied with the work. As far as the work goes, it was amazing! The hardwood floors look brand new. They managed to sand out nearly every imperfection. That X mark from the waterbed is completely gone. Only some of the worst imperfections remained (which would be impossible to sand out without going too deep). Overall, I'd recommend Anton's company to friends and family. It was a very positive experience and money well spent!"

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.

A land survey includes the layout of a single property, including precise measurements and to-scale drawings of boundary lines, land improvements, and sometimes other features, like topography and drainage information. A plat map includes the layouts and boundary lines of several adjacent plots and basic structure measurements. Surveys are normally more valuable for homeowners and buyers, and plat maps are for governmental use.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.
