Description of Work: Metropolitan Restoration refinished two antique children's rocking chairs. They were scuffed up and needed a professional cleaning up and finishing. Mr. Delgado did a superb job! They came back looking beautiful and perfectly restored. He met with us to pick up the chairs and delivered them exactly when we needed them. He is an absolute gentleman with terrific skills. I would not hesitate to hired him again.

Description of Work: I had a family heirloom mahogany drop-leaf dining table that needed refinishing as well as a crack completely across the middle of the top panel that needed to be fixed. The set had been in my basement for over 15 years. I also had six dining chairs with upholstered seats that needed refinishing, reglueing, and reupholstered. Mr. Delgado was gracious and very professional. I wanted the set done for my daughter's new house as a house warming gift and because she wanted to host Thanksgiving dinner at her new home with these pieces. Mr. Delgado got the work done in time, and the set looked beautiful. We were all very pleased with the beautiful, professional job he did. I would definitely recommend his work! |

Description of Work: Wilson Delgado ultimately is retoring four pieces: two blanket chests, one needing intricate restoration of inlays; a tall pine cabinet; and reupholstery and refinishing of a chair. It's gone beautifully but did take longer than expected. If you are in a hurry, you should work with someone else. If you want painstaking work that is done with passion and love for beauty, then Mr. Delgado is the best person for you.

Description of Work: Repaired, reupholstered and refinished a Loveseat and dining room chair. Also repaired and refinished a leather desk chair. My only complaint is that the work took two or three months longer than estimated. The provider evidently was injured in a car accident but didn't tell me what had happened right away. In the end he was very apologetic and even brought me flowers when he delivered the furniture. Everything he did is absolutely beautiful!

His prices seemed very reasonable to me. His weak point is his delay to the appointments. However, I would very highly recommend him and his work

Description of Work: Rebuilt and recovered 100 year old stationary rocker. The job was perfect, it took 4 weeks.

Description of Work: It took a long time to arrange the work but we finally got it done. The work was done very well. However, (A) the guy didn't honor the $200 in Angie's List service i bought, despite our agreeing that he would before the item was picked up and the work started (was supposed to be $320 total for the job, $120 after the Angie's List deal i bought; we agreed to this!) and (2) he to make matters wore, he also charged my wife more that the total we had agreed to; he charged her $480!! I am still trying to get this mess fixed.

I can not recommend this company highly enough and Angie's Big Deal was a very good "Deal". I would suggest however, that your company not tick off your customers regarding social issues that some of us might not agree on, I am sure you don't wish to lose business. I am speaking about Indiana RF Act.

Description of Work: The provider was scheduled for 2/10/15, but didn't show. He thought it was another day. Now, it too late to perform the service. We are moving to another state on 2/21/15.

Description of Work: Refurbished and reglued an antique table whose legs had come loose. | |It took a long time because the vendor changed his place of business right after he took the table, and a two week job took 8-10 weeks to complete. The work was done very well.
