"Their technician Jason Lord was a true professional. Not only was he proficient and highly skilled at his craft but was a true professional with his customer service skills. It is very rare to have both qualities of mechanical skills and customer service expertise. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs HVAC repair."

"Not well. After lots of discussion examination, etc. Repairs were suggested but no definitive quote provided. Instead they recommended replacing the whole system at the cost of $28,000 plus!"

"We've had two HVACs and a water heater installed and I would not use them again. They offer an extended warranty that beats their competitors, but their service plans are misleading and after installing one of our A/C units and supposedly doing "maintenance" on it a year later, we learned when we went to replace a filter ourselves that they couldn't have replaced the filter at the last service because the filter cannot be replaced due to the way they installed the unit. We were told on two separate occasions that we had a service plan with them, but when they were scheduled to do our maintenance, they called to say that we didn't have a service plan, it was canceled due to non-payment (it was never communicated that our plan had lapsed during three subsequent calls). Trust the negative reviews and go with another company"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Winterizing can still help you save money on energy costs and help prepare your AC for its work next year when you turn it back on. We suggest planning for at least some maintenance, even if winters are mild in your area.

Some of the signs of HVAC issues include rising energy bills, rooms not cooling or heating properly, loud noises when in operation, and signs of condensation. To illustrate, if you’re wondering how to stop condensation on air vents, you’ll need to have your HVAC inspected.

Yesh, heat pumps can easily cool homes when the weather reaches over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, just as powerful air conditioners can. The key is sizing the heat pump correctly for the size of your home and your climate. A local heat  pump professional can help you determine the right size and type for your home.

To lower humidity quickly, run a dehumidifier or your home's air conditioner or turn on exhaust fans to extract moisture. These methods can quickly and effectively bring your home's humidity levels to a comfortable condition. However, you should consistently practice humidity-reducing tasks to maintain proper indoor humidity levels.

Yes. It's normal for the AC compressor to cycle on and off intermittently in dry mode as it maintains the desired humidity level. The compressor cycles to prevent over-dehumidification and to maintain a comfortable indoor environment. This cycling behavior ensures efficient operation and optimal humidity control, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the dry mode function in your AC system.
