Needed carpenter to build a footbridge using repurposed wood, install insect screen under raised screen-in porch, install oak handrails, fix the threshold to our front door, and add shoe molding in basement. JW (owner) was pleasant, professional, and thorough when he came out to give an estimate. He listened to what we wanted done and suggested ways to make it work. Scheduling was a breeze. A team of two came out to complete our projects. Of course temperatures were in the 90s, but they worked nonstop. Pedro (crew chief) built our footbridge based only on description. Other projects were completed within the timeframe with Kevin working on the screen and railings with assistance from Pedro. The crew was timely, professional, courteous. They cleaned up at the end of each day. All work was completed within 4 days. There was only a minor issue with the oak hand rails (needed additional sanding) -- which was remedied quickly after review of the project manager, Bob. JW was a tad more expensive that other bids, but in the end, well worth the price. Glad we went with them."

"Excellent. I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to accomplish. The company president ended up making the trip to my house for the complimentary plan and estimate. I was highly improved with his attention to my needs, recommendations to get the most out of the space and keep costs down for me. We were able to build hanging side out to full depth available and, without looking strange, drop the next 2 sections back to avoid interfering with the window valance. By keeping the surface color close to the wall paint most people are greatly impressed by the storage and the fact that it doesn't detract from the overall space. Did have to be dismantled to re-carpet the room but was surprised that the carpet crew was able to pay careful attention to the pieces and reassemble with very little difficulty (though at lest 3 people required). Many commented as I intended....great selling point for this bedroom."

"We needed someone to install our doors. This meant they would make all the necessary measurements on the initial visit to make the cut outs and hang them on 'THE EXISTING DOOR FRAME.'  Apparently using the existing door frame is a problem for some companies - they prefer to yank out the existing door frame and installing a NEW door frame and door.
1 - be sure they know exactly where you live - this ensures they know if you are on the ground floor that they have easy access to their tools because if you live high up like we do, they would have to lug all of their equipment up the freight elevator to your place.
---- We live on a high floor of a tall building.
2 - BE ABSOLUTELY sure whoever comes to your place that they get all the details;
a) of the door to hang AND
b) the existing door frame measurements.
This is critical because it is necessary for the door to swing (or not swing but stay where you left it, so it does not drift because of it being off center), close and shut properly (the insert in the door jamb has to line up properly with the door lock mechanism).
3 - We had to ask them to send another carpenter to do one of the doors over and better (the door did not hang properly).
So, overall we are okay with their service but in future we would ask for a more experienced person to show up and not someone who is not quite so experienced in hanging doors.
I just do not quite understand why it such an undertaking to find a company to hang doors on existing door frames.  All they have to do is make the measurements and cut to those measurements..."
