I contracted them to do the carpentry only (the powerwash/sealing was more than double the cost I normally pay). "The job started slowly due to getting all the materials. Fabio, the head carpenter, is very methodical. He doesn't work fast, but he does excellent work. The flooring guy, Donny(?), works really quickly and does a great job of matching up lines and surfaces so several rooms look visually cohesive. Lastly, Mendez himself is an excellent painter. As the business owner, he makes sure you're satisfied with the work and delivers s project on time if not early. My only complaint is he had to charge extra in the middle of my job for some material and labor that we didn't foresee, but the end result was stunning. This is their second job for me and I recommend them highly."

Needed carpenter to build a footbridge using repurposed wood, install insect screen under raised screen-in porch, install oak handrails, fix the threshold to our front door, and add shoe molding in basement. JW (owner) was pleasant, professional, and thorough when he came out to give an estimate. He listened to what we wanted done and suggested ways to make it work. Scheduling was a breeze. A team of two came out to complete our projects. Of course temperatures were in the 90s, but they worked nonstop. Pedro (crew chief) built our footbridge based only on description. The results were amazing. It's sturdy, attractive, and durable. Kudos for great work. Other projects were completed within the timeframe with Kevin working on the screen and railings with assistance from Pedro. The crew was timely, professional, courteous. They cleaned up at the end of each day. All work was completed within 4 days. There was only a minor issue with the oak hand rails (needed additional sanding) -- which was remedied quickly after review of the project manager, Bob. JW was a tad more expensive that other bids, but in the end, well worth the price. Glad we went with them."
