"Great guy, showed up immediately, pumped to do the work, totally reasonable pricing for quality work done quickly. Only minor complaint was that I had to clean up some sort of debris from the work he did. But this guy is totally worth the call. Gas leak repaired, good advice given, there and gone in an hour."

"The wood burning stove was installed in the basement and chimney was forty feet high. We picked out the stove model in the store, and Mike and the staff were very helpful. The team that did the installation did a terrific job. They installed the chimney and the stove in one afternoon. When the job was almost finished, a part had not been included in the box with the stove. The person in the office who handled the sale drove all the way out to our house with a spare part so
that the job could be finished that afternoon. The delivery and installation service was terrific. The installer had a climb up forty feet to the peak of our roof to cap off the chimney. We were very happy with the installation. Fortunately for us (at least with respect to our fuel bill), the winter was mild and we were out of town for some extended periods of time. Consequently, we did not get much chance to use the stove.
This winter, however, was as different story. The stove got plenty of use after we got snowed in and the stove provided excellent service. It heated the basement, the only place we could heat after we ran out of propane gas. We used it for heat throughout the time we were unable to get propane delivered -- several weeks. As the cold winter dragged on, the stove proved to be not only very effective in generating heat, it was also very efficient with respect to how much wood it took to heat our living space.
On the basis of these experiences, I would recommend Mike without hesitation!! :)"

"I had a fireplace insert installed and was told by the installation company I needed to have my chimney repair. He offer to do it for $1,500. So I took bids through Home Advisor. I found this company to have the best price. The company sent two technician and they repaired and replaced the top three rows on the chimney. They used a latex based mortor which will last."

"The technician, whom I believe was one of the owners as well as a firefighter, arrived on time and was very very thorough with the gas fireplace inspection/cleaning. The inspection revealed a faulty part which he repaired at a very reasonable price. The entire experience was that of exceptional service. I would highly recommend this company for any fireplace/pellet stove install or repair. I have already hired them to perform the same service at another property later this month. Please be patient when you call. You will probably have to leave a message, but they will respond within a day. Probably due to the firefighter duties and other projects. George C 2/9/17"

"

I own a house in Federal Hill that is currently tenant occupied.  The tenants alerted me that there was a gas smell in the kitchen, I called BGE and they came out, turned off gas, and BGE found two spots leaking gas, in the basement, which is under the kitchen.  They asked me to have a plumber check out, asap.  I went on Angie's list and received a call back from the owner of this company within 5 minutes ( it was around 8am on a weekday morning).  He was responsive, informative and really cared. He was at the property very quickly and found a leak at the piping for the hot water heater and also inspected the boiler, in which he said that it was time to get it replaced, and it was leaking gas, it was really old. He showed the tenants where the gas was coming from..He cemented the piping to the wall for the hot water heater.  He spent way over an hour with the tenants and another 45 minutes of the phone with me.  He also inspected the range and said he thought there might be a leak from the cable (which he was right), BGE did not pick up on that one.  He is very knowledgeable.  The range really needed to be replaced, it was old, and I ordered a new cable/range, when Best Buy delivered, they said they could not install, so I then called the owner of this company again, he was at an emergency repair, and he came by at 9:30 that night, after working another emergency repair all day, which was a sewer line, and installed the new range for the tenants. He had to then take apart the old range and haul it away because it would not fit thru the door.  I can not say enough how responsive and nice he is.  He really spent time making sure I understood everything, he is also a gas fitter, so he explained all that to me.  His costs are very very reasonable, I will recommend him to everyone I know.  I also called him about what kind of cable I needed for the new range when I was ordering it, and he spent more time going over exactly what I needed to order and what material was best. I called him again for advise when I was interviewing HVAC contractors.

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:

  • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly.

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

Safety precautions include proper ventilation, regular inspections for leaks, and ensuring tanks and fittings are in good condition to prevent accidental release or fire hazards.
