She has a thumb that is sometimes green and sometimes purple — highly successful with herbs, less so with hammers. To the delight of service providers throughout the Charlotte region, she pretty regularly needs help with repairs and maintenance at her house.She studied journalism at Auburn University (War Eagle!) and Columbia University, working very hard in the gap between the seasons of college football and spring college football. She has worked as a writer and editor at a variety of news publications.While others take care of her modest estate, she enjoys playing outside, probably too enthusiastically beating her children in basketball and racing past old people walking in her neighborhood while on her morning run.
