"We had a large pine tree fall in our yard, and it was time to trim the other trees, so we purchased an Angies List deal, $1799 for 8 hours of tree service.  When the arborist came out to assess the work, my husband could readily tell that he knew what he was doing, unlike the last company we had hired.  The crew arrived on the agreed upon date and worked despite rainy weather, until it was too dangerous to continue.  They came back about a week later to finish their 8 hours.  They did a very good job.  We paid an extra $250 to have the stump of the fallen tree ground up.  We still have some trees that the crew was unable to get to during their time, but definitely plan on having them come back.

"We hired them in the summer and in the winter because of the dead tree they missed the first time. They did a good job of getting the dead trees and limbs out, but they trampled multiple small plants that we had just planted and put their equipment on top of our delicate shrubs, even though we asked them not to. They moved our stones and put them on top of our newly planted herbs, destroying part of the herbs. They did replace one plant after I complained."

I think the extra money spent was well worth it."

"This company provides excellent work.  The grass always appeared that they were keeping the blades sharpened on their lawnmower.  The grass was always cut based on the temperature outside. We were never concerned if they would show up each week. The only reason we are not currently using them is because their prices were higher than we wanted to pay each week.

"Pretty much all the quotes we received for this job were around $10,000.  We choose Master Fences based on Angie's List reviews and the time we spent with the owner, Carlos, during his visit to provide an estimate.  Carlos is very customer service oriented and I had a number of issues I was trying to work into the fence including picking up where a neighbor's fence left off, maintaining some view of the park land behind our house, and installing a high quality product that would keep me happy, the neighbors happy, and secure the pool that is in the back yard.  Carlos suggested a few options and we decided to go for a six-foot board and batten fence on both sides and a six-foot, five-rail high paddock with wire in the back.  Work began a week or two after we signed the contract.  The fence was done over three days, one day per side.  I appreciate the extra effort done to keep the property fenced during the construction.  The area was left clean at the end of the project.  A very nice job.
