"We had a large pine tree fall in our yard, and it was time to trim the other trees, so we purchased an Angies List deal, $1799 for 8 hours of tree service.  When the arborist came out to assess the work, my husband could readily tell that he knew what he was doing, unlike the last company we had hired.  The crew arrived on the agreed upon date and worked despite rainy weather, until it was too dangerous to continue.  They came back about a week later to finish their 8 hours.  They did a very good job.  We paid an extra $250 to have the stump of the fallen tree ground up.  We still have some trees that the crew was unable to get to during their time, but definitely plan on having them come back.

One worker climbed the tree and carefully took off branches and then dropped the tree into the woods. Then they went to work on another tree that had branches reaching out toward our house. "I contacted five tree removal services for estimates. Richard's Tree Care was the only one who has yet to provide me with an estimate. I do not know what the problem is. I initially attempted to establish an appointment by using the online form on their website. After three or four days of not hearing from them, I decided to contact them by telephone. I did get hold of someone and set up an appointment. The guy came out. Took my list of what was to be done. We went around the yard discussing each tree. At the end, he said he would email me the estimate. I asked if he had my email address. He assured me that the office had it and my telephone number. I waited five days; emailed the office, and still have not heard from them. But, I had to move on. I believe that I gave them ample time to respond, but they chose not to or their communication system is not operating properly. Don't know. Don't care at this point."

"The only complaint I have is that some workmen on the site did an excellent job but it looks like one did not and it wasn't checked. The job called for over 100 plants down my driveway....most were done well except one section near the front of the drive had holes dug and plants literally dropped in (as in dirt still in cube shape and some didn't quite make it all the way into the hole and were just tilted into it with no dirt in hole). I reburied them myself and most are doing okay but the foreman of the job should have checked their work."
