I have a small interior trim business, in which I am the one who does the work. I've been in this field for over 19 years, and can do any job when it comes to interior trim. Whether it's a remodel or a new home, any job big or small, I can get the job finished. You will be dealing directly with me, and I am not happy until the customer is happy.

"They did an amazing job. "

The first 13 years he was employed in the Pest/Termite Control Industry. "I waited a year to write this review so that my wife and I could have a decent amount of time actually using what Aaron Prange (of Built by YOU) made for us. We have a small bathroom in a modern house built in 1968, which we wanted to renovate in an appropriate style. We had a recently acquired vanity top with fixture that we like a lot, but everything else needed to be changed. We consulted with several remodeling contractors before settling on Aaron. The reason was that he was the only one with a clear vision of how to proceed and really take into account our wishes. Others did not want to try retaining our new vanity top, while replacing the vanity cabinet, but Aaron was willing. He arranged for us to have a beautiful new cabinet made by Tim Graber Furniture, and he reinstalled our top seamlessly. He figured out how to expand the depth of the walk-in shower (replacing a narrow tub) without making the space seem cramped. And he had great ideas about lighting, as well as an idea for a large new mirror (also from Graber). We researched and picked out shower surrounds and plumbing fixtures (from Hoosier Winsupply -- highly recommended), flooring (from ColorTile), paint (from Bloomington Paint and Wallpaper), and we also had a mold remediation outfit (Bloom Environmental) carefully take out our moldy drywall ceiling. Aaron arranged for all the work to be done in the right sequence and with very minimal delays. He did a good deal of the demolition and construction work himself, with one co-worker. He was very good about communicating about the schedule and next steps. The work site was clean, with quilted moving mats forming a path from our front door into the bathroom. The job was completed maybe a week late, though much earlier than the other contractors were willing to promise. The job was done during the first half of August, which seems to be a busy time for contractors. We are thrilled with the result and enjoy using the space so much more than the old one. The cost was fair and stuck very close to the original estimate (barring a few things that we asked for after the estimate was done). Not everything was perfect: there was a minor alignment problem with the shower surround, due to nothing in our house really being at right angles. Some of the shower caulking has degraded by now and really needs to be refreshed, and a mounting flange for one of the shower fixtures has come loose. These are pretty minor compared to what could happen with a project in which the walls, ceiling, and much of the floor was stripped bare. I would not hesitate to call Aaron for a consultation on your next remodeling project."

TOP QUALITY MATERIALS A CONTRACTOR YOU CAN TRUST What does this mean? It means you can trust us to stand behind our work, and we have no problem doing just that- because we do it right the first time. Our crews are experienced, trained, and educated to offer you the best in service and professionalism. Roofers and contractors are a dime a dozen, but quality ones just are not. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured, which means you can count on us and know your dealing with a good, reputable company.

"Wallace construction came to my door after seeing shingles missing on my roof. Unlike the fly by night contractors that typically do this approach, Denise was very friendly, had a logo shirt and truck and was very professional. They helped us with our insurance adjuster to pay for a good portion of the new roof when I didn't even realize it was a possibility. They offered great communication which to me is key. Everything was accomplished in a timely and professional manner. Our new roof looks great and definitely improved our curb appeal. Will use for future projects, and I even have a few in mind."

"I contacted Cabinets.com because of a friend's recommendation. I am totally remodeling my kitchen top to bottom and had no idea how to go about creating a design or much else.. From the first phone call, I was treated with kindness, patience, and respect. I was assigned designer Greg Flassig. I was nervous about all the questions I had and whether he'd be willing to walk me though the process for as long as it took. Not only was he willing, but Greg calmly and patiently answered every single question. He spent as much time with me as I needed, explaining what I didn't understand, adjusting what I needed, and suggesting. what was optimal for. my needs. He even brainstormed solutions with me when I was unhappy with any aspect of the design. Not only did Greg professionally and compassionately help me, but he had a way of reducing my anxiety when it reared up. Greg was respectful of my budget and my needs, and truly heard what I said. He answered every single question I had, and when I didn't know what to ask, he knew what to say. I can't wait to get my cabinets and create my dream kitchen. After working with Greg, I have absolute confidence it will be perfect!"

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

The Janka Hardness Scale rates wood species according to their hardness levels or density. On the scale, hickory ranks as the most dense hardwood that is common for use in making cabinets. While there are woods that are harder, they're uncommon in cabinetry. Maple, oak, and walnut also rank relatively high on the scale and are excellent for use in cabinetry.

The 1/3 rule for cabinet pulls is a rule of thumb used by cabinet installers and interior designers. The rule states that the best look for a cabinet face is achieved using a pull that is either one third the height of a cabinet door or one third the width of a cabinet drawer. This is because your eyes tend to follow the length of the pull up or across the cabinet face.

Solid wood is the most common material for cabinet bases. It’s a popular choice because it’s durable and will hold up over time. Oak, maple, cherry, hickory, and pine are all types of solid wood that can be used to build cabinet bases. Other options include plywood, medium-density fiberboard, and other types of manufactured lumber, but they need to be sealed properly to avoid swelling, separating, and delamination from moisture.

While a three-inch center-to-center handle is common, there’s no guarantee that sizing will be the same for every cabinet. Different types of handles have different sized holes to attach them and there are lots of different cabinet handle widths and styles. You should measure to be sure you know the size of a handle and to avoid surprises.

A medicine cabinet on its own won’t add a lot of value, but is in general considered to be a good feature to have. Since any added storage is desirable, a medicine cabinet can improve resale value some. Making your bathroom more functional is appealing to buyers if you’re looking to sell your home.
