Reviews of Cabinet Contractors Near You

Reico Kitchen & Bath
Originally, Reico provided the cabinets for my kitchen remodel and my own contractor did the install...MISTAKE. When we determined that the contractor had installed one cabinet so that the drawer would not open past the oven door handle, the Reico rep met with all parties involved, determined the resolution, and stepped up to correct the issue, including ordering a replacement cabinet AND installing the new cabinet to meet specifications. He corrected my contractor's mistake with no charge to me.

Century Bathrooms & Kitchens
The project went very well. The contractor took care to cover furniture with plastic and put up a plastic shield to keep a dust from finding its way into the house. The contractor also put down drop cloth to protect carpet and hardwood flooring leading from the worksite to the exterior front door. After completing the demotion, which included removal of a pocket-door, the contractor expertly staged the remaining work which included installing a new sink and cabinet, toilet, shower and tile. We are very happy with the new bathroom and the quality products and tile. An outstanding job.

Closet America
From start to finish, Closet America exceeded my husband's and my expectations. We selected Closet America based on Angie's List reviews. We chose a closet company rather than our contractor because our contractor made a space for a walk in closet but told us we'd need to find a company to complete the actual installation of fixtures and shelves. The CA designer showed up in early October on the exact date and time we scheduled an in-home appointment, and she walked us through our shelving, hanging and space options. She also showed us wood samples and hardware finishes. Once we made our choices, she showed us a 3-D representation of what our finished closet would look like. Because we ordered the closet in the middle of a bedroom and bathroom remodeling project, Closet America worked with us while we waited (and waited and waited) for our contractor to get to the point where we could have the closet installed. Closet America clearly explained timelines (4 weeks from time installation is scheduled). Closet America phoned every week to check on the contractor's progress in order to schedule an installation date. Once the the room was ready for closet installation, CA scheduled the installation exactly four weeks later. The installer arrived promptly at 7:30 AM as appointed. Other than some unpleasant odors from materials used to install the closet, the installation was perfect. The installer was efficient and professional. We are very, very happy with our closet and the configuration of all that we ordered. If we need another closet remodel again, we won't hesitate to use CA. In fact, our very very untimely contractor would benefit from taking a course that teaches the CA business model! CA is the most professional business I've dealt with in the 14 years I've lived in northern Virginia.

Cabinet Discounters Inc - Chantilly
ordered 3 custom cabinets, 2 to use as bathroom vanities and one for a wet bar. All 3 were beautiful. Had a separate contractor install and purchased the granite tops from a separate vendor.

Tart Lumber
Tart Lumber and Tart Millwork are the same company. The general manager of Tart Millwork and his sub-contractor installer arrived and measured the countertop areas and discussed the wood finishing and sealing. The work was completed in about 10 days and installed to my satisfaction.

The Home Depot - Fairfax
Everything was absolutely perfect. Any problems that we had was fixed right away and the cabinets were beautiful!

Kitchen Saver
I feel like I'll sound like a broken record given the many other outstanding reviews of Kitchen Savers, but believe me they deserve it! Every step of the process was exemplary. We had been considering a kitchen renovation for years. When we saw a Kitchen Savers booth at a community festival we shared our contact information just to get a ballpark sense of how much a renovation would cost. We received a call the next day to set up an appointment. Three days later we met with their salesperson who demonstrated extensive knowledge and creativity in walking us through a potential design. After seeing the outstanding reviews on Angie's List and getting a very reasonable estimate, we decided to leap...and we never looked back. The saleperson gave us excellent referrals for our granite countertop and backsplash and for new appliances. The work was scheduled to begin in less than two months with completion in two weeks...and that is exactly what happened. The workman who was assigned to our project was the most congenial person we could expect with whom to share time in our home. He was a tireless worker with tact and good humor. The project manager was in constant contact to ensure we were satisfied with the work and its progress. Plumbing and electrical work was completed timely, seamlessly and impeccably. Throughout, our home environment was kept as clean and uncluttered as possible. On final inspection we noted that the doors of a cabinet were just grazing the top of our refrigerator. We were prepared to live with it or, at most, have a small amount shaved off of each door. Instead, the project manager immediately said he would have new doors made to correct the issue. We can truly say that the quality of the results in our kitchen renovation was only exceeded by the quality of the customer service experience with Kitchen Savers. This company is truly one in a million!

Cyrus Construction LP
Project went extremely well. Excellent communication with contractor via email, text, and phone. All work finished to a high standard, completely satisfied with level of finish and attention to detail. Contractor and workers carefully followed Covid-19 guidelines, yet the project was finished on schedule.

Kitchen Saver
We are delighted with Kitchen Saver's work. They kept at the job until every detail met their standards -- and ours. What I did not realize when the project began is that our remodeling required a great deal of custom work. Kitchen Saver gave us a good design at the outset. Then, after the demolition revealed extra challenges, Kitchen Saver made necessary adjustments -- and at no extra charge. What impressed me the most was the collaboration among the Kitchen Saver staff. Even while he was working at our home, the installer was on the phone to the carpentry shop -- discussing details and adjustments that the carpenters needed to make. I am glad to recommend Kitchen Saver, and I would be happy to use them again.

Very well. Vince is an engineer and was able to not only install our complicated cabinetry but also to come up with original solutions to address otherwise intractable problems that arose due to other contractors' work. Everything in our kitchen is aligned (despite the fact that he had to deal with crooked, improperly installed drywall) and beautiful. I can't over-emphasize how important it is to work with someone who is a perfectionist after having spent almost two years dealing with incompetent contractors. His pricing is extremely reasonable and he supports his warranty without question or complaint.

DirectBuy Club of Southern Maryland
I would highly recommend DirectBuy. They do everything. They sell cabinets. They sell everything. I was very happy with them. In fact I am in the middle with my contractor installing my granite. They actually don't install anything, but they recommended contractors that they go through. It was a crazy time. My husband got deployed to Afghanistan (in September). They are fast, convenient and way more in pricing than everyone else. DirectBuy is kind of Casco. You buy in the membership and they can sell some appliances or no craft cabinets or anything like that at cheaper rates.

JW Home Improvement
Horrible, overcharged for work that was not performed to satisfaction. Job was not completed and pieces of cabinetry were damaged and mirror frame was cut to short and had to purchase another. Never use this contractor.

Considering what it takes to remodel a kitchen that was over 20 yearsold and a few surprises that required a work around, all work was handled expeditiously. Surprises were those that would simply not be apparent until a wall is taken down. In this case they did provide another estimate on the additional work. They made a point of making sure that I had a person for direct contact for each step of the work. They started on time and finished only a few days late. All in all it was about a three week job which was what they estimated. I would certainly use them again. They were most helpful in flooring selection and installation issues.

Premier HomePro
First off, I'd say that we met with over a handful of contractors to do the remodel of my kitchen and entire main floor. It involved leveling a slanted floor, removing a structural wall, adding an island with a sink, all new appliances, cabinets, granite, etc. It was a HUGE job for us and we were burned by contractors before. PHP was one of the contractors we met with, we were going to go with someone else because of price but called PHP back before the job started. We felt like we could trust them. They gave us one point of contact, took care of all permits for structural changes, design elements and subcontractor relations. They kept us in the loop as things progressed or seemingly wasn't progressing such as when we were waiting for the permits, and eased the tensions. We got several items ' thrown in' new vs blended new and old flooring, adding new open air shelves, and leveling even more than was originally agreed to. The best part was that they cleaned daily. They were great!!!

Cabinetry and granite installations went beautifully and contractors used were professional and capable. Electrician and Plumbing contractor were also highly capable and coordination with them went well. Sorry they could not do painting. That would have been helpful. Office and designer kept in touch and helped make certain I was informed and satisfied. I found that helpful. The designer was detail oriented and serious about making things come out well. I am most impressed by the quality of the craftspeople used by this company.

Begue General Contractors Inc
They made decisions on how the construction will go without consulting us. So we had to stop the construction for a while. He did not contacted us at once, so the work took a little long time to finish and that was the frustrating part. Somehow, it ended up with a nice result and it was all great. He did some amends whenever he could on the materials.

Globe Bath & Kitchen Remodeling LLC
I feel very luck to have found (through Angie's List) Globe Bath and Kitchen. With all the horror stories that abound about contractors, I was nervous, especially since this was my first experience with a home remodeling project. Adem, the owner, was always professional, straightforward, and responsive (by phone, email, and text), from his prompt initial estimate until the end of the three-month project. Because I had pretty clear ideas about what I wanted, I primarily relied on Adem and the designer to tell me if my ideas were feasible. His designer worked with me to ensure that all my "wants" were incorporated in the design. Adem provided excellent recommendations regarding suppliers for the cabinets, tiles, granite, and faucets. His work crew, led by Luis, was superb, providing skilled workmanship and demonstrating considerable patience, even when faced with a difficulties related to the condo building. The crew left the apartment clean at the end of each work day. When there were the inevitable glitches, Adem ensured that my concerns were addressed and problems resolved to my satisfaction. I know that Adem was short-staffed during the period of my remodeling project, so there were delays because materials were not ready when needed. I understand that Adem has added staff to improve coordination. Overall, I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend Globe Bath and Kitchen.

NV Kitchen & Bath, LLC
We were considering just refacing our kitchen cabinets to save money as we updated our kitchen. NV Kitchen provided a quote for a custom kitchen remodel that was competitive with the refacing quotes we had from other contractors. The designer and took our preferences and dislikes into account, the installers were professional and detail oriented. We’re very happy with our kitchen.

Murray Construction
This contractor did everything! He had a couple of guys with him on the job. After the plumbing, ventilation, and windows were installed, he also gutted the entire kitchen and installed cabinets, tile, and lighting. With all the problems we had with the person designing our cabinets, he just kept making it work. He was just great and easy to work with. He showed up every day like clock work. He likes to work one job until it is fully completed and is very committed until the job is done

How do you give negative stars? This is Arend Visher's cabinet business. He is the same guy who owned Visher's Cabinets and Flooring in Utah and Colorado. Our contractor hired him to construct and install custom solid wood cabinets for a kitchen renovation project. He was supposed to have the cabinets completed in November 2021, but he did not. We were told he would deliver and install the cabinets on a certain day, and he just never showed up and did not call. Meanwhile, we had demoed out our existing kitchen to make room for the new cabinets. So now no kitchen. Then he promised the cabinets would be finished, delivered and installed a few weeks later ... again, he just no-showed. Same thing happened a few more times. Finally he just showed up to deliver partly finished cabinets (empty boxes--the frames of the cabinets) and promised to complete the cabinets within a few weeks. Months passed, and he went radio-silent. Then he surfaced to say he had not been working on the cabinets and was not close to finished, but he could get it done--you guessed it--in just a few weeks. He signed a new contract for completion with our contractor, and then he immediately quit and told the contractor to come get the rest of the unfinished work from his shop. By this time it was February 2022. This made a pretty crappy time for us--we lived for quite some time in our house with no kitchen, and then we lived a lot longer with an uncompleted kitchen full of boxes (you can't unpack into cabinets that have no shelves) and the frames of cabinets. We couldn't cook during this time because we had no range hood to remove the smoke--Arend was supposed to construct and install that too. We had to hire a different cabinet maker who would not work on Arend's terrible half-done cabinets. It took six more months of living in boxes and an incomplete kitchen before the new cabinet maker could get us on the schedule to get the cabinets installed. This all could have been avoided--after all of this happened, we searched Arend's name online and found that he has done this EXACT same thing to others in Utah and/or Colorado, where he used to work. (Our contractor selected him, not us. We trusted them to do the due diligence.) I hope that by putting up this warning other people won't have to go through this same craziness.

We were unable to find pros for your Cabinet Contractors project in Ashburn, VA

However, we may have pros in another category that can help with your project.

As you consider the right questions to ask cabinet installers, keep these tips for finding the right cabinet installation team in mind:

1. Experience Matters

A reputable cabinet installation company will have the necessary experience to get the job done right the first time. Ask how long a company you're interested in has been in business, and make sure that they have experience doing the type of job you have in mind. Don't be shy when you ask for customer referrals, and make sure that your preferred cabinet installation company is properly licensed, bonded, and insured.

2. Go for Companies that Offer Financing

Whether you need financing or not, working with a company that offers financing options is a good idea. If cabinet installers offer financing, it means that they're well-established, and it also shows that they have the wherewithal to navigate the modern banking system. If financing is a priority for you, choose a company that offers zero down payment options with at least 12 months of zero interest.

3. Angle for a Free Consultation

The best cabinet installers will come to your home free of charge to give you an idea of how much your job will cost. They'll take the time to sit down with you and assess your situation, and if a company seems rushed, they aren't the right fit.

Unless you know exactly what you're doing, you should work with professionals when it comes time to install new cabinets.
