Virginia C.
Mar 2014
I chose this contractor because he had experience working on similar projects in the neighborhood. I got 2 bids for the work and his seemed reasonable. Contractor had to tear out existing tub and shower and floor tile. Work started during last week of July 2013 and final settlement was in early October.
The workmanship overall was very good. Walk-in shower and new linen cabinet in addition to floor tile were installed by the end of August.
Communication about when certain work would be done was extremely difficult. Contractor did not return messages left on voice mail and admitted this when I asked why I had not heard from him.
Ten days following the completion the stool was leaking around the base. The stool was removed during the remodel. I called a plumber who had repaired items for me before and had recommended this contractor initially. He came that day and asked if he or his crew had re-installed the stool; I told him "no" and he called the contractor. He reinstalled the stool and secured the seal. I was not charged.
On February 6,2014 I left a voice message on the contractor's phone about an issue with the toilet paper holder pulling loose from the wall and asked hm to call me. I got no response. On 2/11/14 I sent the contractor a letter with picture and details again asking for his advice. I left another voice mail on 2/21/14 about the letter.
After no response, I got advice about repairing the hole in the drywall and completed the project myself.
