First Response Drain Service is a locally owned and operated company that was developed to provide businesses and homeowners with professional service that keeps their drainage systems flowing efficiently. We have 5 employees on staff full time and 3-4 part-time employees. All are well groomed and respectful. On occasion subcontractors are used for large scale projects. This allows for proper safety and insurance requirements as we work in conjunction with other top notch contractors. First response Drain Service is owned and operated by a Union trained plumber who spent numerous years learning the trade. This valuable training is applied to our day to day operations and is what sets us apart from other sewer service contractors. We offer free estimates, charge NO travel time and bill by the hour and affordable rates. Anyone who mentions our Angie's List ad will receive a free video sewer inspection recorded to DVD. First Response Drain Service is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise smelly situation. Our technicians enjoy what they do and it reflects in the work that we do. Our staff is friendly and easy to talk to. We explain each situation in a way that makes sense. Give us a call and you will experience a whole new concept in the sewer service industry.

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can adjust your well pump pressure relatively easily by yourself. You’ll need to remove the cover from your pressure switch and adjust a nut that controls cut-in pressure. Learn more about how to adjust a well pump pressure switch with a step-by-step guide to setting your water pressure.

Excessive pressure (above 80 psi) puts too much stress on plumbing pipes, joints, and fixtures. This can lead to leaks and burst pipes. Plus, it shortens the lifespan of appliances, can waste water, and can raise your utility bills. High water pressure might feel like a gift, but it’s actually a silent threat to plumbing.

If your well pump is running continuously (meaning without turning off or stopping), it's a sign that your well pump is starting to break down. The length of time your well pump should cycle is dependent on many factors, like the tank size, pressure setting, and even the amount of water in your well. Generally, your well pump should cycle, or go from running to not running every few minutes.

Why is my irrigation pump not pulling water?

There are a few reasons your irrigation pump isn’t pulling in water. You could have a clogged suction filter. You may have not properly primed your pump so air got stuck somewhere in the system. Your pump also won’t work properly if it has faulty or damaged pump components, like a pump motor or pressure switch.

Ensures safe and effective service, restoring water flow and system efficiency.
