Mike the plumber was on time, removed his shoes before entering the house, xplained the work in detail, was very professional, cleaned up after himself. Friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Great job!

.This visit occurred prior to Orville selling the business.  I have always been satisfied with Mr. Hay's work.  He was always up front about his recommendations and what he thought best for the situation and the estimated costs.  He was our first choice of plumbers in the Jacksonville area.
However in 2014, it is a different story.  We needed to have the sump pumps and garbage disposal replaced.  Tried contacting the business several times without success.  We left messages, but did not receive any follow up contact.  I do know that at the time, they were involved with a large job at the grain elevators south of town.  
We finally got tired of leaving messages.  We utilized Manchester Heating and Plumbing.  I was able to talk to a person versus an answering machine.  Chad arrived promptly and efficiently installed the sumps and garbage disposal at a very reasonable price.  He arrived on time and is very professional.  He is fair and honest in his pricing and estimates.  I would highly recommend this local independent contractor.

Called because my floor drain was backing up/not draining. There was a miscommunication from the office staff, when I first spoke to them I was told that they would call when someone was headed my way, two hours later I got a second call asking again what the problem was and I explained again, I was told that they wouldn't be able to have someone come until the next day. I had since turned away two other plumbers so I explained this and they made the arrangements to come. The guy that came was friendly and personable but tried to snake the floor drain (at which time he broke the backwater valve that I had to replace myself) and said that I had bigger problems and that I would need to call someone with larger equipment. I made a few calls and Doyle Plumbing came out within an hour and they snaked the main sewer line and the floor drain started draining immediately. I am very disappointed and will not be calling Hays again. I understand that there should be some type of fee for the time but $185 after a $25.00 off coupon for nothing is rather painful when it ended up costing me the part I had to replace that they broke and another plumber...

They did an excellent job. I'd use them again.

Mike was very professional. We would use him again. We have used multiple plumbers in the past, none of them have been able to fix our issue. Hays Plumbing did a great job.

We have used Hayes Plumbing for over 15 years. Jim, Linda's dad, and Linda did a new water line for us.  They volunteered on a Habitat For Humanity House we were involved with.
Hayes Plumbing has installed a faucet, fixed my leaky shower, re-plumbed my house including new waste lines, installed a new gas line at a different house for us. Most recently help us out with a bad floor drain.
They have done work for folks on my block and for my friends. I have never heard anything but good things about them.  They are prompt, professional and experienced. They provided advice and alternatives, which have saved us money both in the short and long term.

Mike called on Monday morning said he could do it sooner and came right over.  He had to drill out a section under my sink to remove the pipe and the corresponding pipe downstairs.  Quite a section.  He ran out and bought the new pipe and installed it and was gone in a very few hours.  He kept me posted as to what he was doing and I have nothing but nice things to say.  Linda and her Dad have been my plumbers for about 30 years so I only have good things to say about them.  THEY TAKE CARE OF ME!!

New faucet went very fast.  Thorough check of cold water low pressure in bathroom sink proved that the problem is below the floor and concealed in a basement ceiling.  Will have the plumber come back and fix the problem later.  Everything above floor checked out fine but took time.

The contractor arrived in a timely manner after we made contact.  He was very professional in his approach and reviewed the house's sewage lines before beginning.  He completed the work very promptly.
