"Installation was fine but the fence has worn in 5 years and the gates are out of alignment. We requested an inspection and repair at our cost 2 weeks ago. We followed up with office and asked owner to respond to fix the problem. We have not received a response since the inspection by Alex. Alex was very nice and professional, but the lack response by the office as a return customer is concerning."

"Had a great experience with this company. Rolando and his crew installed a custom fireplace and renovated my backyard. Communication was great from start to finish of the project and always had a clean work area which is a big plus since I have young children."

"We contacted the company for a quote, Ted came out and gave us the quote, which was a fair quote for the product and since we used them on the other fence, we would use them again. Problems arose when we tried to get the permit so that the company could start on the date we accepted. When we tried to get it the city advised us that the company had not paid their licensing fee, so my wife called the company and advised them of this, the company representative advised us that they had, several calls back and forth between us and the village and  the company and a week and a half  later the fee was paid and we could get our permit we were also advised that because of the delay we had lost our date, we then advised them that this was not our fault and our date was given back. The workers arrived on time and began, they tore down the fence and placed the new one up in a day, the crew finished up and left. I went out side and viewed the gate and noticed the gate hinges had been poorly/ improperly installed, and that one of my gutters had been crushed and the siding cap on the corner of the house had been broken also a panel was left behind . I then photographed the problems and emailed and called the company about the issues. Jay had contacted my wife and stated that someone would be out to fix the problems, after a few day of not hearing anything we contacted Jay and left a message for him, he had contacted me and advised that someone would be by, no one came by, Jay then called and advised us that the person who was supposed to come by was sick and that another person would be coming by to make the repairs. The person did show up and fixed the gate hinges and some of the boards, he didn't have enough to fix all of the bad ones and advised us that he would be back next week to repair the gutter and siding cap, As of this date 05/22/14 they have not returned to fix those issues as of yet, the  gate was completed on 05/15/14. As of 05/25/14 I have not heard when they will be back, I will keep the site updated when they complete the corrections. on 05/29/14 someone came out and repaired the broken siding cap ( great job ) , he also left several boards if I needed to repair and bad boards, I would like to say I am pleased with the job done."

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

When making this decision, three essential factors come into play. For budget-conscious individuals, swing gates are the more economical choice. Despite the possibility of both gate types having similar dimensions, many types of sliding gates demand a more intricate opening mechanism and additional components, requiring electrical work for motors and signaling remotes, resulting in higher installation costs.

Each has its use, depending on the scenario. Security doors are primarily intended to keep people out of the home, while storm doors are used to protect the home from extreme weather. Both tend to be made from heavy-duty metal and may include glass panels to allow light to enter the home. Storm doors can feature mesh screens, just like screen doors, to allow for increased ventilation and to keep out pests. Security doors rarely, if ever, have mesh screens.

Your wooden gate post hole should be a third to a half of the height of the post. Also, note that the diameter of the post hole should be three times the diameter of the post. You should set the post in concrete to ensure a long-lasting and durable post that will withstand the test of time.

In addition to a doorbell camera, you can upgrade your home’s security with several different features. Backyard security, for instance, may include a mix of security cameras, lighting, and fencing. Additional security cameras around your property, as well as a total smart security system with an alarm connected to your smartphone, are also advisable. This could well be worth the cost for the peace of mind alone, but home security systems also lower home insurance costs.

Instead of a security door, you might opt for a heavy-duty screen door made from durable mesh, which allows better sunlight and airflow. Additionally, you could enhance security by installing strong locks on your existing door. A double-cylinder deadbolt provides robust security; however, be aware that some local laws prohibit them due to safety concerns during emergencies.
