When you call schedule an appointment, you will be speaking directly to the business owner- Kevin Welter. We also encourage you to visit us on our website (www.welterhomeservices.com) to use our online scheduling tool to schedule your appointment. After scheduling your appointment, we will then come to your home for a thorough project evaluation. Welter Home Services also provides their customers with a one year written warranty on most home repairs and installations! This will give you peace of mind and ensure you that your home repairs will be done right, the first time! Kevin did a fantastic job for us on a pocket door! Pocket doors are really tough to work on and I was worried that we'd end up making a bad situation worse. However, after Kevin was finished it's working better than ever! He fixed the shard of wood popping out, installed a door lock, and repainted the whole area that had been cut open. The whole area looks like nothing ever happened!

This is a difficult review to write. Some of the work done by Welter Home Services was good and the handyman they sent didn't waste any time going between jobs on my list. The main work that was done well was installation of 2 shower grab bars and fixing a kitchen cabinet garbage can door that eventually broke after over 20 years of constant use. Unfortunately, some of the work was totally unacceptable and they do not stand by their work, even when notified within 24 hours of the work being completed. If they can classify it as a "repair", it's buyer beware! If it breaks again or you see something unacceptable 1 min after they pull out of your driveway, they actually expect you to PAY THEM to fix their own poor work! The work that was not at all satisfactory was the installation of weather-stripping on 2 doors and fixing a broken screw on my desk's keyboard drawer. It took 3 attempts to get the drawer (hopefully) fixed, of which I had to pay for 2 of the attempts. My front door is admittedly not the best and they did make it close easier (not on my fix-it list). However, in the process, they left such a large gap between the door and the weather-stripping that I could see sunlight coming in between the door and the frame. The handyman actually tried to tell me that I was just seeing the weatherstipping, but I guarantee you that I can tell the difference between sunlight that leaves a shadow and some light-colored weatherstripping! I have since installed some foam weatherstipping to stop the massive air leaks before the weather turns and it becomes too cold for the foam to stick properly. I paid them almost $220, and then had to fix it myself! Adding insult to injury, when I called to complain about the large gap they left around my front door, the owner Kevin Welter told me twice that "he hoped I would be reasonable"! As a woman of a certain age, that sexist comment translates as "Just be a good girl and stay quiet!" Would he DARE make such a comment to one of his male customers? I will NEVER use them again - sexist or not - as I feel that anyone who does not have enough pride in their work to stand by it and fix something that is clearly unacceptable is just not trustworthy.

"[Member Name Removed], You paid to have your door seals replaced. This was completed and done at a flat rate. This did not include any other adjustments. We typically will adjust the threshold (if possible) and throw in a set of corner seals. You stated that your were unhappy with the door and I explained that we can further evaluate and adjust the fitment (as much as possible) on an hourly (time and material) basis. This was unacceptable to you. I then offered to return to see if we can easily address any of your concerns FOR FREE. You were hardly charged a thing for your desk drawer repair, as this was a quick (hourly) repair. $10-$15?? We do not warranty repairs for obvious reasons. I have seen my share of old, worn, cheap, misaligned, abused, etc in my time as a handyman. We warranty NEW installations of products WE provide. It is that simple. It is really common sense. I have found in business, it is extremely important to set boundaries. After our initial visit (grab bars), my tech felt "abused" by you. I discussed the situation with our staff, and we did our best in moving forward with your additional requests. In hindsight, I really wish we would have refused your additional work request. I have personally dealt with thousands of customers over the years and have never been called "sexist"....That is a first. I am sorry we can no longer be of service to you."

The technician arrived on time, was very professional, and made sure everything was done as we wanted it, despite one item (bypass closet doors) being kind of a challenge because of odd sizing. When a very small leak developed a few days later on one of the sinks they worked on, they returned immediately to take care of it under warranty, no questions asked. We'll definitely continue using Welter for future work.

Absolutely fantastic - they got rid of a terrible old set of wooden stairs and set me up with a great metal ladder that is so sturdy and fits the space perfectly! And they provided a great, reasonable price.

It went excellent! Cable for the video camera is hidden which is a very nice touch. For those of you that don't want to do the installation themselves, I would recommend Welter for your Nest camera installations. They did excellent workmanship at a reasonable price.

Overall it was a simple installation, there was a complication due to the faucet I chose. They worked out a solution to the problem and finished the job in a short time. I would definitely use their services again.

Kevin did a phenomenal job. The outside railings are exactly what was needed for my 86 year old mother, that recently moved in with us. The indoor railings are better than what I had expected, and are absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Kevin and will keep him in mind next time I have another project for my home. A+++++

Kevin was awesome. the one mount was hard to hang on our wall and it ended up taking them a lot longer than it should have and they were so good about it. I had a few last minute things I wanted them to look at and they were very nice and helpful and fixed the outlets. They have a set price for hanging up TV's so I knew upfront the cost. Kevin said he would do just about anything - just make a list for him and he could take care of it. My husband and I are hoping to hire him again in the next few weeks to patch up some drywall for us.

Very pleased. Kevin and his helper worked quickly, were very neat, and offered solutions for several unexpected problems. I was particularly impressed with how they planned work so that they were able to move tools and equipment in and out of the house efficiently. Kevin was realistic about when he would be able to do the job, appeared when he said he would, did more than he actually planned to do, and gave detailed information about pricing.
