Preferred Garage Door Repair

John did a great job. He provided quick responses. When I communicated my belief that a fully new garage door might be needed, John stated that he would prefer to try a repair before considering a replacement. His knowledge and honesty were clear throughout the procedure. I would certainly endorse his services.

John responded to my Angi's request within minutes with a phone call. My garage door cables and some rollers rusted out, and the door wouldn't open. John showed up within 45 minutes of my call and had everything replaced and repaired within an hour. Very professional, explained everything, very reasonable price. Great service! John is very responsive via phone and text messages. I needed both repair and replacement of side springs and cables for my (2) 6.6 X 8 ft. garage doors. John suggested on converting them to torsion spring and was willing to give me a quote on both. Not only did he fix both doors, he also replaced the rollers on BOTH of them. John is very courteous, communicative and prompt. Will definitely hire again and recommend him.

I spoke to John on the phone last night and we agreed on a price and he was available to install a new garage door opener that I had purchased the next day. I told him in advance that there might be some street parking issues due to the previous snowfall and my alley being a culdesac. He said no problem we could figure it out. When he arrived this morning, he pulled up in front of my neighbor's house which had a chair in front of the shoveled out spot and proceeded to back into the wooden chair. When his bumper hit the chair and pushed it back, he got out of the truck and started destroying the chair with his bare hands and the held it over his head and repeatedly smashed in on the gound until it completely broke apart. I watched this entire incident from my front window. As he walked over to my house, I asked if he just smashed my neighbor's chair to bits and he replied "there's no dibs in Chicago" I told him that there is on this block and asked him to leave. Ironically, there was an empty spot with no chair directly across from the destroyed chair. I can't rate his service, but the fact that he destroyed an old wooden chair with such rage gives his professionalism an F.

John from PGDR did a very good job with the install of a new door opener. As advertised, he kept at it until the job was done properly. The sensors provided by the manufacturer were faulty so John returned them and came back the next day and installed new sensors . I appreciated the extra effort at a very fair price!
