"I did a lot of research and got a lot of referrals and decided to settle on Steve at Pompco septic . They are not the cheapest and not the highest priced. So reviews, reviews is what I based my decision. From the time Steve Called saying sending a crew. And there shop is on the other side of town. They came pumped cleaned fixed clogged filter within 2.5 hours of Steve telling me on the way. Great crew knowledgeable quick. Paid what was quoted. And learned a little about my septic tank. Would recommend and will be who I call next time in need."

"AC Septic services are fantastic! I have a 70 year old septic tank with concrete drain lines. This is a rental property and I didnt want to spend a lot of money. Alan and his assistant were very friendly and professional. They drained thd septic tank and repaired the damaged lines that were clogged. They saved me money and time. I have many properties and will use their company when I have septic problems!"

"I have had several companies service my septic tanks over the years (because several have gone out of business...) but I was very pleased to connect with Bowen's Septic Service. From the time I made my appointment, to scheduling, arrival, assessment, digging, pumping, clean up and departure I found Bowen to be the most professional company I have used to date. Daniel was terrific and was an honest professional who gave good advice on must-do's versus nice-to-have's. I found pricing to be fair given the larger tank size that we have and I appreciated the professionalism from end-to-end. It is refreshing to get a company that is so experienced and gets the job done with no gotchas or games along the way. I will definitely use them again. Thank you!"

"These guys are the best. They had to dig for us- and were able to get to the pump, dig with as little mess as possible, and even while they had the job to do, helped uproot a tree so we could relocate it away from the septic."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Bladder and diaphragm well pressure tanks are usually pre-charged at the factory. Even so, it’s important to check the air pressure in the tank using a tire pressure gauge on the relief valve. The instruction manual usually calls for 28 psi. Use a hand pump to add more air or release some air from the tank to reach the desired number. Check the pressure periodically to see if you need to add more air to the tank.

Drain fields often include three to five trenches that are 18 to 24 inches deep. The pipes connecting the drain field to the septic tank will be placed between 12 and 18 inches deep, and the field as a whole will be about 100 feet long.

Costs depend on tank accessibility, size, and local rates. Regular service serves as preventive care, averting costly emergency repairs or system replacements.

Several signs can indicate a faulty well pump pressure switch. These include your pump running continuously, the pump not turning on at all, or a sudden and complete loss of water. Other symptoms are weak water pressure or an erratic, unpredictable water flow from your fixtures. If you notice these issues, the pressure switch may be the cause. Testing the switch can help diagnose the problem. A faulty switch will likely need to be repaired or replaced. If the issue is more complex, it's best to consult a professional well technician to ensure your water supply is restored correctly.

How do you set your well’s pressure tank? All you need to do is first drain the tank of water and find the pressure switch. Remove the switch cover and adjust the switch with a wrench—clockwise to increase water pressure, and counter-clockwise to reduce it. Each complete turn of the nut on the switch should equal 2.5 psi. Once this is done, replace the switch cover. All that’s left is to adjust the pressure of the tank itself using an air compressor and a tire gauge to support the new setting.
