"We were so impressed with the job that Ken did installing wainscoting in our home ! He has such a fine eye for detail and design and is very particular for the quality of workmanship he does. We were also very pleased with Ken communicating to us when he would be arriving and the time needed to complete the project. If you’re looking for outstanding workmanship, reasonable price, helpful suggestions and reliable service, then hire K2 Carpentry - you will be impressed and very pleased with the outcome. We Will definitely recommend Ken to family & friends!!"

"Fred and his crew quickly and efficiently did all my window trim and sills through out my home. They handled tricky door frame and rounded windows artfully Fred offered advice where necessary, which I appreciated because he has the wisdom to know how the finished look would be. My husband was impressed and we hired them to finish my crown molding next week. I feel lucky to find a good Carpenter With a very respectful crew. We highly recommend them."

Customers say: Quick response

"Hired David Graf to repair a rotten beam on our patio, replace stucco/drywall around it, and redo the second floor balcony decking with new hand railings. Not only David provided us with the most competitive estimate, he realized some material savings during the process which ended up saving about 10% at the end. Quality exceeded our expectations. He is a man of his word - definitely would hire him again! Thanks David!"

"We are very pleased with the work Roman and his son did at our home. They did a beautiful job repairing a wall that had termite damage, replacing missing drywall, and texturing and painting the drywall. They were courteous, professional and very talented. They arrived on time and were fast. We would definitely hire them again."

Small jobs welcome

"From the estimate through completion, Craig and his crew were amazing. He kept me involved and let me explain plans and worked with me to make it happen. They are beyond reasonable in pricing, efficient and clean when on site. My neighbors has work done based on their actions at my house. There's tons of companies that are fancy and play games, these guys don't. Do your self a favor and hire them."

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

The cost to frame a 2,000-square-foot house can fall anywhere between $14,000 and $32,000. This price can increase or decrease depending on what type of framing you choose, the quality of the materials, the project's complexity, and whether you decide to hire a professional to do the job.

Most of the time, you’ll want to use screws on your subfloor rather than nails. Nails can actually weaken plywood, whereas screws can easily penetrate without damage. They also form a more secure connection because of their shape, preventing squeaky floors and tightly holding the subfloor in place. That said, some contractors do prefer nails depending on the type of floor covering because they allow for more flexibility.

Professionals charge between $60 and $95 per hour to install ornamental porch columns. The amount of time they need varies based on the condition of the porch, whether they need to remove old columns, and if there is any damage to your porch's structure. This cost can increase if more issues come up during the installation process.

Bow windows need support because they are large and extend out from the exterior wall of the home. Bow windows may extend 1 foot to several feet from the outside of the home, so you’ll need to provide additional support to handle this weight. A window contractor will be able to provide the proper amount of support for your new bow window.

Duration varies by project size, but average-sized homes typically take a weeks.
