"Jason and his crew did an excellent job. Everything was exactly as promised, and the project was completed on time. There was no punchlist, one was not needed since everything was perfect. Jason and his crew were very professional, and did exactly what they said they would do, and this was for the price that was estimated ahead of time. Aside from their workmanship, they were simply very nice people. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again if I needed any home remodeling."

"Brian and the crew at Signature Construction blew us away. They were quick to making the appointment and provided a time efficient quote to us for our kitchen remodel. He always picked up his phone and answered our questions big or small, which is something most contractors tend to fall short on these days. This project was handled with care and came out great. We are planning to remodel our master bath and guest bath next summer. We will be using Brian for those projects."

"To have a major remodeling from 1500 miles away can be a bit stressful. Working with Jorge and World Tile Transport took all the stress out of it. We could not be happier with the remolding of our kitchen. The work that Jorge and his crew did is beyond our exceptions. Jorgeâ s communication between our daily phone calls and photos helped keep us up to date with the projects progress. Some contractors are hard to contact or even to show up to the project. Jorge completed the project in a timely manner. One of our first phone conference was scheduled for 8:30AM. At 8:31 Jorge called me and apologized for being late. How many contractors would do thatâ s? Jorge was also very good with design ideas and the outcome was great. You canâ t go wrong working with Jorge and we will be using him for all of our future jobs."

"Sam and his team did a very nice job on our complete condo remodel. He stayed right on schedule and finished on time and at the agreed to price. His in-house team (tile, carpentry, cabinet install, flooring install) did a great job and were very professional. Some of his subs (electrical, painting) needed more oversight and required multiple follow-ups to bring the job to completion. We were very satisfied with the project outcome, but this required our continued diligence throughout the process."

"Quality work. Our home was damaged in Hurricane Ian (3 ft of water inside) and Nick came out quickly, gave us a reasonable quote and started the work when we were ready. He and his helpers did a wonderful job rebuilding our home. Very nice and easy to deal with. I will have him back when we are ready to do more."

"Project Blue Lines seemed willing to tackle projects, both big &small. When a cabinet unit of our closet fell off the wall, other contractors wanted to rebuild the whole closet rather than rehang/repair the wall of drawers, shelves that came down. I might give a higher rating when I see the results of their work in person. So far just pictures."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Balancing aesthetics with functionality amidst space planning is important. To do so, you could consider consulting both an interior designer and an architect to fulfill both these needs. Or you can tackle it on your own by prioritizing personal touches amidst space planning that add to the look but don't take away from the livability of the space.

While you will always work with a team of professionals at some point during your home build, homeowners with experience can take on some part of the process. Manage the initial brainstorm, brief writeup, and floor layout phase with minimal assistance before contacting a general contractor. And while you can purchase stock blueprints for some home designs, it's always best to speak with professionals when choosing one ideal for your property.

Most towns and cities have regulations regarding sign dimensions for businesses. If you're opening a new business, contact the town or city's local zoning board to see the specifications you need to follow when getting your sign created. There may also be rules regarding how high your sign can sit. Be sure to learn about specifications before having your sign made. Sign companies generally won't offer refunds once custom signs have been fabricated.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

A pool builder can advise you on the best design for your property and vision, and can walk you through the process from design to a swim-ready pool. Knowing which questions to ask a pool builder can help ensure you choose the right person for the job.
