"We had a tree come down, it just cracked at the trunk, came down and nearly took out our pool guy. We had an arborist come out, this guys an arborist, and look at some other trees. We had so much rain this past year that we had a lot of other trees that were rotted. He took out 6 trees, big oak trees, and it cost us $1200. I’ve actually used them in the past too. There were 3 workers and they were all very professional, quick and cleaned up very nicely."

"

The Bailey Tree Crew had originally planned to be at the job at 8 a.m., Wednesday  on November 12th.  They called me the day before notifying me that they would be late due to completing another job.   I said it was okay as long as the job was not rushed and was completed to our satisfaction.  The crew showed up around 10:30 a.m.  Unfortunately, the crew had to wait for the Folsom City Arborist to arrive before starting their work.   Even though we already had the City?s Tree Permit, the City Arborist stuck around for about two hours controlling the project.  Those showing up Wednesday morning  included the City Arborist, the owner of Bailey Tree Company,  Bailey?s Tree Estimator, and a truck with three crew workers.  What surprised me the most, was that the City Arborist spent about two hours micro-managing the job.    I thought a tree seminar was happening in our front yard; although I did learn that the Pin Oak in our front yard belongs to the red oak group found in the eastern and central United States.

My wife and I did a thorough search in looking for a Certified Arborist that was properly licensed and insured.   The search involved reviewing Angie?s List looking for an Arborist with an ?A? rating, California Contractor?s State  License Board Review, Better Business Bureau,  and  recommendations from neighbors, family and friends.  We decided to get at least three bids and finally chose Bailey Tree Company.

In Conclusion, the job was completed to our satisfaction.   We have given an ?A? rating to Bailey Tree Company because we were happy with the overall results of the job.   Bailey Tree Company did a very professional job with the trees.   The trees are now aesthetically pleasing to us.  We were extremely happy with the thorough job the crew did.  They left the yard clean.  We are happy to recommend Bailey Tree Company to our neighbors, family and friends .

"Highly recommend Acorn!!  Years ago, I used them when they were connected to Kemper and they always did great work. Then, a few years ago, I needed some basic pruning done and used someone who said they were an arborist and they ended up hacking my trees (pruned everything with a chain saw and left the trimmings). I joined Angie's list and looked up arborist and found Acorn. Jay came out to assess my needs and gave me an estimate. I booked the appt and his crew showed up promptly (even a little before schedule!) and there was an arborist on his team and 2 helpers. All very nice, knowledgeable men. Jay showed up to go over everything and he did the pruning of my nectarine.  My trees look amazing and healthy and I'm extremely happy with their work! They left everything very clean and even used the blower to make it cleaner than when they arrived. I seriously can't stop looking at the trees, because they way they pruned them is miles above what anyone else would have done. I can't thank you enough!!

"Arias trimmed up an Oak tree in my front yard. It had never been done, so it was a big job. Now, the tree looks like a piece of art. A job well done. They removed 3 tree stumps as well. Cleaned up after the job. They have the right equipment and are very professional."

"Jeanette Bell came to my home and gave me a estimate of the work that I wanted done.  Her crew trimmed my big pine, 2 Japanese maples, cherry tree and also trim 2 hedges.  They did a terrific job and all the trees looked great.  I have had Bell's Tree Service now for 4 years.  They always do a great job!  The crew is very professional and really wants to please you.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Pruning a tree is a yearly DIY job that involves removing small dead branches, leaves, and blooms to help the tree grow bigger and stronger. You can often complete the job with basic home gardening tools. Trimming a tree, however, removes larger sections to control the direction the tree grows in and protects your home, utility wires, and yard from potentially dangerous branches.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

Aim to have your trees inspected and pruned in early spring. At this point in the year, tree service professionals can note where there is old growth from winter and cut that back to encourage new growth for the rest of the year. Pruning at the wrong time of the year could make your trees prone to diseases.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.
