Customers say: Quick response

"We hired Jacob and his team to install horse proof fencing along a very busy road and down into where our pole barn is. For the first section he installed heavy duty fencing and steel posts that would take on a car, as we had someone plow through our lower pasture. We our simply over the moon with the results. The fence looks amazing and now we truly have peace of mind when our horses are out in pasture. We are booked again for beginning April to continue with the rest of the pastures. Jacob and his team are so professional, talented, courteous, and the kind of man you want to do business with. Cannot recommend them enough."

"Jordan was polite and friendly. He responded to my calls promptly and answered all my questions and concerns. He and his crew were hard working even with temperatures over 100 degrees that week. Our fence was complete in 4 days and we now have a safe place for our dogs and chickens . No worries."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In terms of materials, chicken wire mesh will be the most inexpensive option to use when building your fence. The downside is that it’s not the most attractive garden fence option. In a similar vein, you could choose a DIY fence made out of repurposed items, like car tires, or wooden pallets, either of which would be free to collect.

Black chain-link fences last an average of 15 to 20 years. The thicker a fence's wire gauge, the longer it will tend to last. The black vinyl coating gives the fence rust and corrosion resistance, but its life span may be lower in wet, humid, or coastal climates where moisture or salty air can corrode the coating more quickly.

When your rolls of silt fence join together, you’ll want to overlap them to make sure they’re still as effective at keeping water out without requiring fastening together. Overlap two sections of the silt fencing so that two sheets of fabric cover the span of two posts. If you want to fasten them together, you can staple them or use a zip tie, depending on whether your posts are metal or wood.

Split rail fencing is a type of post and rail fencing. Other post and rail fences include corral board and post and dowel. Post and rail fencing is the term used for any type of fence with vertical posts, horizontal rails, and nothing else (specifically excluding pickets). So, technically, a split rail fence is a post and rail fence.

To effectively keep animals out of your yard with a fence, choose a fence that anchors to the ground to deter digging. Also, consider adding a barrier below the fence to prevent burrowing.

To make your yard less desirable to animals, eliminate food sources like a vegetable garden, and ensure your garbage cans are sealed and tamper-proof. Installing motion-activated devices like lights or sprinklers will startle animal intruders. Also, a fence won’t work well if you forget to keep gates closed and secure. If you still face persistent animal intrusion issues, contact a wildlife control expert who can offer specialized solutions.
