They removed carpet and parquet flooring and installed new hardwood floors in a large space (~1200 square feet) plus a flight of stairs, the entrance way and a closet. The wood is perfectly laid - seamlessly moving among three rooms with long lines. They kept the house really clean and neat, moving my furniture around, so I didn't have to move it. They did this start to finish in 4 days, my friends and neighbors are amazed - lots of excellent feedback..and this includes a contractor, who does this himself. "Our experience is identical to what other reviewers shared. And yes, you should run from this company as fast as you can. Do not buy what Abraham shared that the payment must be made when the inspection is passed. Check the Business and Professions code yourself, the payment only needs to be made when the job is completed. It is very COMMON that the job is not even done or poorly performed even the inspection is passed. Here are the issues that multiple families including us run into with this company:: The project was delayed for over 9 months. No one manages the job. He often employs young men from his own Jewish community. They are enthusiastic but had no prior experience. The worse part is that they don't get paid. Two of them even set up a new construction business knowing Abraham will never pay them. Subcontractors can put your house on lien also. Many reviews you see on Yelp, Google, Angi are NOT genuine. Even the references are fake with hindsight, we were given 2 references. One reference shared the exact same accent as the PM. The other reference was initially happy with their work, but then reached out to us and shared a similar horror story with them like what we experienced. You will lose a lot of $$$ on materials as the subcontractors will somehow leave a thousand dollars worth of quartz at home. Maybe they want to compensate for the money Abraham owed them? Let me tell you, reordering materials is not fun."

"Excellent! I thought I needed a new thermostat since I wasn’t getting any heat. Juan came over , checked the circuit breaker and found that the breaker was worn out. He replaced the breaker and found that the thermostat was still functioning. He could have said that the thermostat needed replacing too but instead he just said you needed a new circuit breaker. I really appreciated the honesty. If he said I needed the thermostat too I would have paid for both thus increasing my bill. I just want to add a few more comments about the work that he’s done for me. I first met Juan when he came over to my house to stabilize a lose tile that was above my garage door. Then I showed him mold growing next to my shower door. He found a small crack that allowed water to seep into the sheet rock. He replaced the shower door and the sheet rock that was growing mold. Then I took him to the bathroom where I showed him a bulging floor board next to the toilet. He found a small crack in the toilet tank that slowly dripped water on to the backside of toilet dripping water onto the base board. He offered to repair the tank but I told him to go ahead and replace the toilet. I can’t say enough about Juan. Whatever the problem is he’ll figure out how to fix it. When he approaches a problem he approaches with a positive attitude. Another time my ceiling fan went out and I asked him to come out to see what the problem was. Instead over the phone he told me to check the remote control. I went on Amazon and ordered a new remote control . I placed in new batteries and the fan started working. He didn’t charge me anything for the advice. I was prepared to buy a new fan and all I needed was a new remote. Juan is multi talented. I’ve recommend him to my neighbor and he’s done a couple of projects for her (leaking roof). Lastly, in a couple of weeks he’s coming over to paint my front door and put a new latch on my side gate. I’m 77 years with an injured leg so fixing things around the house is difficult for me. Juan has made my life easier."

"Mediocre service and absolutely appalling customer service. Before having our granite countertops cleaned and sealed, I specifically mentioned how I had used acetone to treat certain olive oil stains and deliberately asked whether or not this would affect the cleaning and sealing process. Their technician assured me that it would not. After one hour of work, I observed that many of the areas that I had previously treated with acetone were significantly darker than other areas of our granite countertops. I am pretty sure this was due to the acetone-affected areas not having any prior sealant, so they absorbed water or cleaner or other liquids that were used during the cleaning. I asked the technician why certain areas on our granite countertops were much lighter than the darker areas. His response was ,I do not really have an answer for you. I found this answer unprofessional and unacceptable for someone who specializes in countertop repairs. As someone who is untrained and unskilled in countertop repair, even I could tell that my countertops had been cleaned and wetted by some cleaning agent and then sealed immediately without enough time for the cleaner to evaporate. The fact that I specifically asked beforehand over the phone whether or not acetone-treated areas would be affected by his cleaning and then immediately found darkening issues on these exact areas is an issue I cannot overlook. Furthermore, upon contacting Cole Restoration about my complaint, I was given a generic email response about how they want all of [their] customers to have a good experience and they asked for photos. I quickly replied with photos showing the areas of concern. This was over a month ago. Since then I have sent two follow up emails and left a voice message. Still ZERO response. All around dreadful, neglectful, and unacceptable. I can not and wont ever recommend Cole Restorations to anyone after being an afterthought to them for over a month."
