"It’s incredibly hard these days to find a contractor you can truly trust. So many cut corners or try to upsell, but Juan and his team are the complete opposite. From the very beginning, Juan stood out as a caring, genuine professional who truly takes pride in his work. Every task big or small was handled with exceptional care and craftsmanship. You can see how seriously his entire team takes their work and how much they care about the final result. We hired Juan to redo our driveway, and it came out amazing. He also replaced our drainage system just in time for the rainy season, and after a massive storm, everything held up perfectly with zero issues. On top of that, he helped lay bricks in a circular pattern for a backyard firepit, built out an outdoor kitchen area, removed tree trimmings, cut down trees in our front yard, moved a ceiling light in our living room, added new electrical outlets, and even refinished and stained our hardwood floors. Everything turned out beautifully. If you want someone who truly cares about the quality of their work and treats your home with respect, Juan is that individual. Highly recommended!"

"I couldn’t be happier with the earthquake retrofit done by MVP Remodeling. When I selected the company for the EBB retrofit, they weren’t the cheapest estimate, but they were far from the most expensive. Joseph explained the process and scope of work clearly and I was confident that selecting them was the best decision. Beginning the work was delayed as we found I had skunks living in my crawl space and I had to find someone to deal with that problem. My contact person at MVP, Maya, was wonderful throughout. She kept in touch with me and scheduled the retrofit immediately as soon as my skunk situation was resolved. Throughout the process, Maya guided me as to what I needed to do on the EBB Dashboard, and she submitted their materials immediately. It couldn’t have gone any smoother! Once the work was completed, MVP had the inspector examine and approve the work the following day, and withing a week I had the EBB check in my hand. I’m so glad I decided to do the retrofit and th"

"Bait and switch. I obtained multiple quotes for my foundation. Dalinghaus Construction quoted me 19 piers to stabilize my home. I questioned why their competitors were quoting me over 30 piers; and they reassured me I was being over quoted by their competitors. Long story short, I went with Dalinghaus. During construction, a rep (David F) came by to drop off some tools and found that 19 piers would not be enough. They said I needed 14 more piers (totaling 33– same as their competitors). I’m stuck because I cannot leave my home half stabilized. No other reputable company would complete the job if another company started it. I was obligated to move forward with Dalinghaus. No one called to apologize for the misstep. They invoiced me and could care less how much this would affect my family. They proceeded to install14 more piers but left 14 large holes— they said backfilling was not part of the scope of work, while the original 19 were backfilled. Insanely strange why they think I wanted 14 large holes at my home. So this is where they gave me a “discount.” They backfilled the holes for free. Free? It should be included in the work. All in all, why do I have to pay for a mistake of this magnitude? I’ve tried to work it out with them peacefully but they have not provided me anything that would make this right. Only excuses why they should not compensate me. They have no integrity. They only care about their reputation at this point (they want my bbb review taken down). I would like to be compensated for the 14 additional piers that were missed from the original quote. 14 additional piers is a completely new job, not a “new work order.” They are the professional and should have done a more thorough assessment to provide me an accurate quote. Their competitors seemed to have done so but I was sadly duped by Dalinghaus. They baited me in and switched the price after the work started. $38k is a lot to lose. I have 2 small children and a home that needs to be completed. Ps. I’ve been waiting over 2 months for a resolution."

"I truly regret hiring HavenHub for my backyard project. After a salesman came to our door, he designed our landscaping plan — retaining wall, stairs, shed pad, boulders, and sprinklers — and quoted $24,995. I paid in full around July 8, 2025, with a contract promising completion by July 28. No one ever showed up until I contacted them. Since then, I’ve dealt with four project managers, endless delays, broken promises, and almost zero communication. One crew came but didn’t know what they were supposed to do and couldn’t reach anyone for direction. Another poured a footing wrong, according to one of their own workers. Months later, my yard is still torn apart, and HavenHub continues to ignore me despite taking full payment. I’ve had to involve a lawyer just to try to get a response. Terrible communication, unreliable crews, and no accountability. Be very careful before hiring this company."

"Solomon and the guys at Melo Gardens were AMAZING throughout my full front yard renovation!! I replaced my boring, water-guzzling front yard with new modern, eco-friendly landscaping (part of the Long Beach lawn-to-garden program). I couldn't be happier with my finished project! Melo gardens took care of tree trimming, poured a fresh concrete pathway, installed new irrigation, and found some really awesome plants at a reasonable price. Solomon was super attentive to my needs (and trust me, I can be needy lol). He was happy to make adjustments during the installation and also made some really great recommendations. You can tell he definitely knows what he's talking about. All my neighbors have been asking about my contractor I'm happily telling everyone about my great experience!"
