Fred at Deco Construction did an amazing job for my parents. Their house was falling apart and they needed someone to help make improvements very badly. Fred and his crew did an amazing job with the balcony, master bathroom, guest bathroom and basement tiles. They transformed these rooms into something fantastic! They pay attention to detail and the outcome is amazing. Fred is also a great listener and can figure out what the clients wants and bring it together to make it look beautiful. Also, everything was done very timely even with COVID restrictions. Will definitely recommend!!!

After interviewing several contractors, my wife and I hired American Home Improvement to remodel our master bathroom, guest bathroom, and laundry room in West Hollywood. Within hours of initially contacting them, AHI sent a project manager, Neev, to our house to generate a quote. From the outset, Neev was very detail oriented, picked up on a couple of issues that other contractors had missed, and sat down with us to come up with a quote on-site. AHI’s price was comparable to other bids we had received, so we ultimately chose them for the project because they seemed the most service-oriented and capable of delivering what we wanted. I’m glad we did. Neev was very responsive, communicative, and organized throughout the project. He helped us work through a couple of issues that arose in renovating a nearly 100-year old house without nickel and diming us. His foreman, Tal, was very hands-on and helped us settle some design issues, and the entire crew was polite and very respectful of our home (unlike some other subcontractors we’ve had in the past). They were also willing to work a few weekends to help us stay on schedule. Ultimately, despite some setbacks for which AHI was not responsible (e.g., materials delivered broken or late due to coronavirus), the team was able to finish the project within the time we had originally budgeted and we are thrilled with the work.

I worked with Supreme Remodeling last year to rebuild house for me in Burbank last year. It was a long and arduous project that involved demolishing 50% of an old house down to the studs and then building an attached addition from the ground up. I sent out my completed architectural plans to at least 15 different companies, and took interviews with many of them. Received bids from maybe 5-6 different ones. Here's what the difference was. First of all, Micky the owner of Supreme remodeling took the initial meeting himself. He was in no way pushy or salesy in any way. He was patient (it took a month for me to come to a decision). I was able to look at ACTIVE construction projects that he had going on. He was extremely knowledgeable on all of the new building trends and he has a good eye for design. Once I signed on, it took about 9-10 months to complete. He has a good roster of subcontractors that he works with. But his inside guys Eddie and Ronell are outstanding. In the end the real difference that sets Supreme apart has to be the service. Micky and his staff are very available and responsive. Even on a Sunday night he's active and communicating the following weeks work. If there's an issue he's on top of it. And even though the initial cost of the project was high, you definitely get what you pay for and to be honest, it is a very common experience to have contractors to offer you a lower price just to rope you into a situation where they constantly barrage you with extra charges during the project because they weren't "in the contract". All in all I would definitively work with Micky and supreme again in the future on any projects that I have coming up.

Back in March I had a pipe burst in one of my bathrooms that affected my unit and the unit below me. After the restoration process I had trouble looking for a reliable contractor. My friend referred to Orange Team Builders as a trusted, and reliable company. I hired them to repair the damages in my bathroom caused by the pipe burst and I was very happy and satisfied with the outcome of repairs. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is interested in remodeling or any general repair work. I will also use them in the future to remodel other areas of my home!

I loath to give any more energy to the current situation we are involved in with Miller & Sons, but I hope to save others in our community the grief they are putting us through. We agreed to a very general proposal (not meeting California state law as a contract) to build a 749 sq ft ADU for our home. We were hoping to downsize into our retirement and rent the rest of our home for retirement income. The cost both parties agreed to was $176,000. Miller & Sons had a lot survey performed to determine the buildable space per the city and HOA which came back much smaller than both parties anticipated. In order to keep the 749 sq ft size a 2nd story would be required. Miller & Sons informed us the cost would be increased to $220,000 well out of our financial reach. Understanding the facts of the situation we decided that the build was not possible for our max budget (which was our stretch already) at $180,000. The issue is Shay encouraged a no-interest loan through Synchrony bank for $35,000 to get the project started. This worked for us as this was close to the amount we still needed to come up with for the $176,000. In my naivete and ignorance I signed loaned docs between teaching classes via my phone, foolishly trusting Shay and Miller & Sons. That $35,000 went directly to Miller & Sons. Now, since we have had to cancel the job due to Miller & Sons increasing the agreed upon amount due to the lot survey information, Shay and his associate Avi refuse to close out the loan from Synchrony that went directly to Miller & Sons. We were shocked when Shay and Avi claim they had incurred $35000 in costs (their bankruptcy lawyer says near $40,000), when the only work completed and invoiced is a $2500 lot survey. Their outside contractor architect was unable to provide plans due to the lot limitations. So, no other services have been provided. They also claim loss of potential income, although their selling point to us was that they constantly manage multiple jobs as a large in-house construction company. Also of note, are clients whose jobs were to be completed in December which are just now being completed. We were given the impression they had too much work. SO, unfortunately when doing the initial research on Miller & Sons one has to dig DEEP to find they are connected or likely one and the same with Henderson and Sons Construction who went bankrupt in 2019 (and many complaints with BBB and CSLB)---look it up and you'll find Avi and Shay mentioned repeatedly along with Danny Cohen, quite possibly related to Jonathon Tyler Cohen (owner of Miller & Sons)? I did in fact find one negative review on YELP prior to our agreement--which was hidden due to someone checking "not recommended" on the review. When I asked Shay about this connection he denied knowing or being associated with Henderson and Sons which has now been proven a lie. Finally, we are willing to pay for the lot survey ($2500). We want to remainder of the balance to clear the loan under my name with Synchrony bank. We are retired--and near-retired teachers who have worked very hard all of our lives and $35,000 is a huge amount of money to us. To get ripped off by unscrupulous contractors and their reps is especially harmful to our financial future. Please save yourself money and heartache and do not engage with this company. After having negative experiences in the past with construction companies I chose to reach out to BTB knowing they’re a little pricier than other companies.
