It took LifeSource Water two weeks to have someone swing by my house to give me an estimate. The technician was able to give me an estimate and an action plan for the install. I had a few options of the placement of my system either in the front of the house or on the side hidden behind a gate. I didn't care because I think it looks cool so front or on the side would be fine. Putting it on the side would require some extra piping so I said as long as its included in the estimate any spot works for me. A month and a half later the install finally takes place. They install it on the side and everything looks good. My water pressure is a little weak, but they said that's expected and it should be good after a few hours. The water pressure is still weak in certain parts of the house. It wasn't too bad so I didn't mind because my water is allegedly cleaner even though there's no real way of testing. I paid the bill and they tried to charge me for the additional piping I never wanted. I had to call them multiple times to get them to remove it, but they wouldn't budge. I indicated that the technician mentioned it would cost the same no matter where it is, but they said the technician isn't allowed to do that as if I'm supposed to know their internal policies. Eventually we negotiate to meet in the middle and I end up having to pay an extra $200 for some extra piping. I started noticing that my grass was dying and it turns out they hooked up the system with the outdoor water as well. So the system is unnecessarily filtering our outdoor water and the water pressure is too weak and doesn't allow our sprinkler to have the same range it had before. I requested for them to fix it. They sent someone out to do some tests and he was just talking about how hot it was and that my system works fine. I should decrease the amount of sprinklers I have. I tried to insist that it was fine, but he did some test saying that there's nothing he could do. The water has to pass through the system and the long piping might be the problem even though I requested to put the system where it would be most optimal. I've been in contact with Christy Gomez to try to remedy the situation, but she hardly ever responds to my emails. She is never available to pick up my phone calls and she never returns any of my calls. When she does respond via email she says someone will reach out to me this week, or next week, or says she talked to someone and he/she will reach out to me soon. But no one ever calls me back and these guys only care about making a sale and then they stop caring about the customer. Perhaps you can have clean water, but there is no integrity in their customer service.

The installation was scheduled at my convenience. The plumber was professional, leaving with the system working. Johnathon was in touch with us through the process. There was an issue after installation, LifeSource was responsive resolving the issue. It has been 45 days. We no longer buy bottled water and there is no scale buildup on kitchen/bathroom fixtures.

One of the best decisions that I have made since buying my house.  Cullen Dickson couldn't have been better.  He was always punctual and worked his schedule around my work.  It has been 11 days since they installed the water system and I can already feel the difference.  They did everything that they said they would and more.  I couldn't be more pleased and recommend this company highly.

They were very good. The salesman was very knowledgeable and very good but one of them wasn’t. They showed up on time. The quality was very good. I plan to use them again.

We had the LifeSource system installed 11-12 years ago, and we have been very pleased with water quality since.  Have had no problems or requirements for service until 8/6/14 when I noticed a drip/leak from a valve.  I did the Angie's search for the company, but got the listing for distributor in Pasadena.  Did web search for LifeSource San Diego and found LifeSource Factory Outlet
San Diego County, Tel: 619-286-2371. Probably didn't need to go both places, but  I noted that the manager of the outlet (Ms. Bell) is the lady who originally sold us the unit, so contacted them and was put on the schedule for a day or two later.  I called the office back to confirm that I had shut down the unit appropriately until service person arrived; and the person scheduling was very helpful--- she confirmed that I had turned the correct valves to route the water around the filtration system.  The service person arrived on schedule after apparently running around the county, and he worked efficiently, explained what he was doing/going to do, and was obviously enthusiastic about his company and product.  A good representative who did good work and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need.  He gave me confidence that our system still has years on it before needing replacement.  As far as the price goes, I thought the $120 for a service call was a might steep, plus the cost of the part/labor.  But thinking about it, he and the company could have "jammed" me.  Water quality versus one maintenance call and occasional self-help replacement of a little pre-filtration unit all makes for a good experience with LifeSource.  I think that they really care.

I have had a Lifesource Water System in my family home for over 15 years. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of their water. Our system has worked flawlessly for 10-15 years already so the product is legit.
The water (compared to the water in my current apartment in San Francisco and previous apartment in LA) is incredible. It tastes better, doesn't smell, and is ve great for my skin. Seriously, I have way dryer skin when I use the regular tap water.
This is the best possible option for purifying your water throughout your home.

They did a very good job.  There were minor issues but they took care of it.  They showed up on time and took care of their business.  They make their appointments on time.  Their equipment was very nice too.  They took care of everything.  Everything was fine.

I called their 800 phone number and asked for their service department. After explaining that I had no particular problem, but that the system hadn't been serviced since I bought it, the lady said that she would have the salesman, who originally sold me the system, call me within 24 hours.
When that person called, later in the day, he remembered me and asked when he might stop-by. When he came to my home, he checked-out the system and tested the water for my satisfaction. He reminded me to occasionally check the backwash timer and suggested a few detergents I might try. To my surprise he refused to accept payment for his time.

I have no complaints about the product or service

I’m not sure of the amount that I spent on his services but my husband will know.  I think it was about $200.  Actually he installed it improperly and so he had to re-install it.  I’ve used quite a bit of people on Angie’s list but he was the one person that really didn’t do a good job.  He was very friendly.  His price was good.  His responsiveness was great.  I will use his services again in the future.

The experience was very good. They did an excellent job in installing it and very clean. They were always here when I had questions and provided me with information regarding requirements for the city as far as what types of water softeners are available and which ones are not approved. I found out that what they had told me was true when I checked it out with the city. Their pricing was in line with others and the system they installed was one of the best ones out there. They did a fair job.

August 20, 2010 We bought a water treatment system that does not do what they advertise it to do. We bought a water treatment system that was supposed to “replace a water softener”and purify drinking water according to the brochure. I specifically asked and was told it by salesman Tony Romaldo that it was compatible with my $2,000 tankless water heater. August 27 After installation, the dishes turned cloudy and all faucets were becoming clogged with a gritty substance. I talked to my plumber and he said to make sure the water was softened or I would need to add a filter for the water heater. October  I called Tony twice and emailed once, he gave no reply. Nov. 1 I called Eleanor Hernandez the customer service rep, told her we had to keep removing shower heads and faucets to dump the grit out. She said she entered it into service and they would call me within 24 hours. They did not. Nov 5 Finally, we got a hold of Tony Romaldo, the salesman. He came to our house, looked at the system and told us the grit was stuff being loosened from our pipes and it would clear up. I found this unlikely as we have had a water softener for the past 12 years and never had this problem before, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to wait two weeks for it to clear up. He also said that their system removes 70-80% of the hardness. It did not clear up. Nov 12 So I had my plumber come to our house.  He looked at the grit and said it is the result of the hard water going through the tankless water heater, (causing damaging scale build-up in the heater). He tested the water for hardness; 22 grains per gallon coming into the house AND 21 grains per gallon after treatment with the system. It did not remove 70-80% of hardness, it didn’t remove any!!! Therefore, to say it "replaces a water softener" is a lie, or at the very least misleading.  Nov 19 A call we placed to Tony was not returned. Nov 23 we got a hold of Tony, told him we wanted a refund and the system removed. He offered us a free water softener, we declined since we no longer can trust them and do not want to deal with them for any future service. So he said he would have to talk to the VP, Jay, then he would call us back, he never did. Nov 24, another call not returned. Dec 1 I called and asked to speak to the VP because I wanted a refund.. I was put on hold and the Tony the salesman picks up the phone. He said our plumber was lying, I stopped him and said you lied about it softening the water and I want a refund. Tony said Jay is the only one who can authorize it. I asked to speak to him and was told he was “in a meeting”. Tony said he would call me back by 6:00 pm, he did not. We filed a complaint with the BBB as I did not find this business on Angie's List (search error?). I also filed a complaint with Discovercard to dispute the payment. Dec 3rd Either the BBB or Discovercard contacted Jay because he called and said he had no idea that I was having a problem. I said I have been trying for two months the resolve the problem and that was long enough. I had been lied to, my calls and emails had gone unreturned and I no longer wanted to do business with them. He offered to have his head plumber come out to assess, I let him talk me into that but changed my mind after I hung up with him, because I knew what the problem was, (the system does not remove hardness and it is incompatible with our tankless water heater without a softener or filter, which cost more money). Later that day, we called and asked for Jay. Eleanor said he was unavailable and said she would connect us to his voice mail. I noticed there was no personal outgoing message on the voicemail, but we left a message saying that we were done and that we wanted a full refund and removal of the system. Dec 6 Jay left a message on our machine saying that he was returning our call. My husband called him back, (and this time there was a personal outgoing message on his voicemail,) and just restated that we wanted a refund and removal of the system. Dec 8 Eleanor left a message, we returned the call and they finally agreed to a refund. Dec 21 they removed the system.   Bottom Line While this system may make your water taste good IT DOES NOT REPLACE A WATER SOFTENER. And if you have a tankless water heater and hard water you will have a lot of problems! We have had to replace both shower heads in our house. We also had to replace the heat exchanger in the tankless water heater, luckily still under warranty but at a labor cost of $276. I was also given the run around by at least the salesman and the customer service rep, and if Jay truly didn't know this was going on, then what else is happening that the VP doesn't know about. I put off doing this review because it really upsets me, but I saw an ad in Angie's List Magazine for Life Source and I had to let people know how I was treated.
