"Jose Is amazing! I had a previous pool cleaning service company handle my pool and they were no where near as good as Jose. Jose was able to find the leak in my pool when others couldnt. Highly recommended Jose! He makes the pool water crystal clear and clean! Amazing work!"

"I have used Donald Baker Spa Repair & Service twice now (different issues) and remain very impressed with the service. Sam is very responsive and knowledgeable. He calls the day before to confirm the appointment and arrives during the scheduled time. It was raining lightly during the most recent visit but he continued with the appointment cheerfully. He quickly diagnoses the problem and completes expert repairs. He always explains and shows you the issue at hand. He has a deep knowledge of the different spa models reaching back many years and he is always professional and courteous. I will be calling him for all future repairs/services needed and highly recommend his services."

"I called them to the startup for my new pool. Came out amazing. I have used several pool service companies before, never met someone so knowledgeable in chemistry. Opened my eyes to certain issues I had before that I had no idea what were causing them. Joseph is great, a chemistry genius"

Customers say: Quality work

"I want to retract my first statement about Vik's Pool Service. Turned out he was having some personal issues that required ;him to go to Arizona and he couldn't answer my calls. Since that time, Vik and his crew have proved their work to be exceptional. They come every week without fail and he does a beautiful job of keeping my pool looking beautiful. I had some initial problems because i used a pool cover and it created an awful mess Vik handled it and has continued to do great work for me. Thank u Vik!"

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair a hot tub or spa ranges from about $170 to $550, depending on the repairs needed. Some of the most common hot tub repairs include leaks, clogged filters, and tripped GFCI breakers. If it’s an electrical problem, you should contact a professional hot tub repair service. Don’t DIY electrical repairs on a hot tub, as poorly repaired wiring can make the hot tub a serious electrocution hazard.

When your hot tub is completely dry, there is typically no need to introduce antifreeze into the plumbing. However, if you desire an extra layer of protection against potential freeze damage, you can consider adding some RV antifreeze to your hot tub lines. Just ensure that you use RV antifreeze specifically, as automotive antifreeze is highly toxic and should be avoided.

Regular water testing, filter cleaning, and chemical balancing are essential for keeping water clean and equipment functional.

If your hot tub is well-maintained, covered tightly, and the water is balanced and sanitized correctly, it can remain unused for up to two weeks without significant issues. Beyond this period, the water quality may start to deteriorate, potentially leading to the growth of algae and bacteria. However, it's crucial to note that this timeline can change due to factors like water temperature, sanitation levels, and the quality of your hot tub cover. Regular maintenance and water testing are essential to ensure the water remains safe and clean during periods of inactivity.

Follow these general safety tips for spas and hot tubs:

  • Keep your exterior electrical receptacles covered and dry, especially around your hot tub and pool during periods of use.

  • Make sure you have a GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) properly installed to ensure no one gets accidentally shocked or injured by electrocution.

  • Don’t use the hot tub or your pool during a thunderstorm.

  • Before using the hot tub, have a certified electrician thoroughly inspect your hot tub and its wiring to make sure you’re in full compliance with all applicable local building codes.
