"Our experience with Ray O. Cook went very well!! Our HVAC system was the original when the house was built over 40 years ago. My husband's excellent Do it Yourself skills allowed him to maintain it and keep it running all these years. We received estimates from 5 different companies. Although the other salesman/estimators were good, Paul was the best. He explained all our options more thoroughly than the others and his recommendations for installing the HVAC system for our needs and house size made the most sense. "Gregory arrived about noon for a "morning" appointment, which would generally have been okay, but I really should have asked whether he meant early morning or late morning.
We first told him about our problem with our toilet - it loses about a 1/2 tank per 12 hours but no drip is audible. Gregory told us that he could replace the inner workings but that it would not be cost effective, and that our better option is to contact the manufacturer to find out if the parts are still under warranty.
We then showed him the drip in our irrigation system. He had to go the local hardware store to get the parts and then cut out the plastic pipe, added a new shut-off valve and a new spigot as ours broke off.
The last work we needed done was to have the cosmetic portion of the dishwasher installation completed. Gregory installed the sound dampener piece that goes under the dishwasher along with the front piece that hides the underside of the dishwasher.
Beyond paying for the 2 hours of plumbing work through an Angie's list deal, Gregory charged just $35 for the materials he had to purchase to complete the repairs.

It was an all-day job, and I appreciated his willingness to return another door that I had bought (and changed my mind about) when he went to the store to buy more supplies for the job. After the job was finished, he said he would mail me an invoice. This is a rental property, so having the paperwork documenting how much I spend on the work is very important. I called to remind him numerous times over the last 3 months or so, and he keeps saying he will send it. The last time we spoke on the phone he was quite rude and, in my opinion, unprofessional. I was always polite and patient in asking him for this paperwork, but have given up on ever seeing it."
