Scott Vogeli, owner of Modern Edison, Inc., got started in the electrical industry in 2008 at Michigan State University. Scott has passed the highest level of electrical examinations in California to become a state certified journeyman electrician and licensed, bonded and insured electrical contractor. Modern Edison, Inc., offers a wide range of electrical services including complete home rewire, additions and remodels, electrical power and lighting installations, troubleshooting and repair, energy efficiency and renewable energy, internet, cable TV, telephone, security cameras/lighting, and more. Easy to work with and on time, Scott provides very clean and professional installations, following all codes and safety regulations. Scott and his team did a brilliant job of restoring a floor lamp from the 1930s. It’s wonderful to have this family heirloom back in working order, and Scott understood the lamp’s intrinsic value. Modern Edison Electric’s customer service was top-notch. A staff member actually drove to my house to pick up the lamp, and when the restoration was complete, the lamp was delivered back to me. They were even able to repair a crack in the lamp’s original metalwork. The price they charged me for their skilled and detail-oriented work was extremely reasonable. At any point in the future when I need electrical work done, I will contact Modern Edison. The culture at this company is friendly, trustworthy, respectful, and very professional.

Worked with Scott on multiple occassions. From a basic electric panel upgrade to more complex service mast and ampage upgrade on a multifamily property. Scott does a good job of bidding the job and explaining the scope of work and I've found him and his crew friendly and professional.

Had a couple of electrical (ceiling fan rated ceiling box & wall plug) boxes that needed to be replaced. The appointment had to be rescheduled but the office was diligent in keeping me informed. Communicaton regarding the estimate and the scheduling was excellent. The electrician showed up on time and was professional. The job turned out to be not so straightforward, but the electrician found alternative solutions and completed the job quickly, efficiently, and well. I'm happy to recommend and use the services of Modern Edison again.

They installed a new GFCI power outlet on my exterior wall under our patio cover for a wall mounted TV. It looks great (no more cords). Very professional and good communication throughout the process.

The electric panel work, from the moment I contacted Modern Edison thru Angi to the final inspection, was simply outstanding. Scott and his team (Will and Stefan) did a wonderful job, and the administrative representative (Sweet) went above and beyond in keeping me in informed of progress, even scheduling the final inspection for me. Will and Stefan arrived at the appointed time, completed work in about 2 hours, including clean-up. I would contact Modern Edison for any future electrical work I might need. I am very confident in their work and work ethic, and do not hesitate to recommend them to you. You will not be disappointed!

We had a fantastic experience with Scott. We decided last minute to put in step lighting in a new concrete pour. Scott made time and put in the boxes and pre-wire before the pour saving us tons of money and time. As we progressed through our front yard makeover we had Scott come back and add in additional cascade lighting and outlets for our fountains as well as figuring out a way to add internal lights to several pagodas statues Scott was great on answering any questions or with making any change requests. We received a very thorough quote with no hidden surprises. If you want the project done right, I would highly recommend him.
