"The work was performed quickly and efficiently. The tree was safely felled away from the house and then chopped up using chain saws. The stump was ground down below the ground, so it is no longer visible. The branches and trunk were completely removed from my yard. The area was completely cleaned so someone could not even tell that a tree had been there. I would definitely hire them again. Finally, their price was one-third of another Angie's list tree service I obtained a quote from, which was nice."

"I needed two large dead trees hauled off. They cut the trees, hauled them off, and cleaned up the debris afterwards. They charged a very reasonable price. This is the second time we've used their services, and we've been very pleased both times."

"The five fellows arrived on time and worked throughout their stay on the property. The primary objective was to trim a eucalyptus tree which was too close to our house. They cut the top 35 feet off and left the area around the tree much cleaner than it was when they arrived. The they trimmed four Queen Ann palms. In every way they were professional and totally competent. I fully endorse this form for similar tree service."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It takes anywhere from three to seven years for a stump to decompose on its own. This timeframe can depend on the kind of tree and your climate. The lower to the ground the stump is, the faster it rots. If you kill a tree stump with salt, boiling water, herbicide, light deprivation, or burning, the tree stump decomposes faster.

If you don’t trim your palm trees, you can expect several negative outcomes, including:

  • Unhealthy palm trees attract pests, diseases, and fungi

  • Dead falling fronds can cause severe injury or damage to your home, pedestrians, or cars

  • Dead palm branches are flammable and can catch fire, especially during a lightning storm

Planting trees far enough from your foundation will protect your home from root damage, but if you’re dealing with existing trees, you can still guard against roots. Root barriers form a physical boundary that will prevent roots from encroaching on your foundation and can help save you from expensive foundation repair costs.

If the roots are still alive, the dead tree will usually try to put out new shoots. That doesn’t mean the tree will survive or that the dead parts of a tree will come back to life. If parts of the tree have died and turned gray or rotten, nothing will bring them back to life and they need to be safely removed.

It's easy to misidentify trees that appear to be maple trees due to similarities in leaf shapes. Sweetgum, sycamore, and yellow poplar all have leaf shapes and appearances similar to maples. The fact that around a dozen maple tree varieties exist, only about half of which are considered common, makes misidentification an often typical occurrence.
