"Jayrod and Dominic were professional and great efficient workers. They introduced themselves and made sure they understood our needs, going over all the pieces that needed to be moved room by room and carefully completed the task. I am using them again to move more furniture this week."

"Affordable Piano Movers & Storage moved an upright piano for me into a new home and up difficult stairs with a hair-pin turn. This was NOT an easy task and they did an excellent job, were on time, courteous and professional, and got the piano moved in gently to its new home on the second floor. Highly recommend hiring them if you need a piano moved!"

"I’ve used these movers several times. They are amazing! Always on time, thorough, quick but meticulous, not to mention very nice people. You know your cost up front, price was extremely reasonable. I was happy with this service. You won’t be disappointed!"

"I booked Northstar Moving Corp a couple of weeks before the actual moving date; they were very responsive. The day before the moving date I received a call to confirm their arrival time and another call to inform me that they were ~30 minutes away. They arrived on time, introduced themselves and then their team leader asked me a few questions about the move & then got started. It took David Archuleta, Miguel Villanueva & Anthony Williams just under three hours to box & move out a one bedroom apartment to my new place 7 miles away. They were prompt, courteous & professional. There was a little paint damage and their team lead took pictures for me to use if I were to file a claim. They were very prompt in responding to my small damage claim as well. Overall, I would recommend Northstar Moving to anyone looking for a moving service."

Moving questions, answered by experts

It depends on your lease with the mobile home park. Most parks ask residents to provide written notice 30 days before moving. Consult your current mobile park for specific move-out details before moving.

The cost of a long-distance move depends on several factors, including whether you hire movers, use a moving truck, and the size of your move. For a 1,000-mile move, you’ll need to hire interstate movers and ask them for an estimate based on the details of your move. Keep in mind that a 1,000-mile move will likely cost $10,000 or more.

It is generally worth moving a shed if the structure is in good condition, you have space for it at the new location, and the cost to move it is less than the cost of buying or building a new one. You should weigh the pros and cons, particularly for long-distance moves where transportation can be expensive. If your shed is in disrepair or the relocation cost is too high, it likely isn't worth moving, and installing a new shed at your new property may be a better choice.

No, not tipping movers isn’t considered rude. Tipping is optional, not expected. There are plenty of alternative ways to show your appreciation without tipping.

Products that are hazardous, such as aerosol sprays, top the list of what to leave behind during a move. Avoid packing perishables, garden and garage chemicals, pool supplies, compressed gases, and combustible items. If you are trying to move by yourself, you may want to downsize so you have fewer belongings to pack and move (and then unpack).
