"My trees looked very healthy after being treated by these arborists. Had to get over the "sticker shock" as we didn't budget for this extravagant expense. I reasoned that it was better to "bit the bullet" than replace the trees."

"Excellent job with my difficult job of a 60 ft pine tree over 2 houses. They got it done no problem in one day with a fair price. Very professional and safe. I will be recommending them to everyone I know."

"Love this company. On time, hard workers will do anything I ask. I don't stress about my yard any longer. I also have my yard mowed and edged. Gives me advise when I ask. Not pushy and very professional! I'm glad I found this company."

"Ignacio and his guys were great!! They trimmed one large Palo Verde and one large Mesquite. The work was done in a timely manner and the trees came out perfect. They also removed one small tree and did a nice job on that also. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you so much for an awesome job!! ð ð"

Small jobs welcome

"Working with Ortega Landscaping is great, always on time and fair pricing. Although cutting my grass is simple, only one tree and no bushes. He also does other yard things, like planters and recommends different aspects...jchaney"

"

Craig was a pleasure to work with.  After receiving a very fair bid for the work, he followed up with a phone call to see if I had any further questions and to schedule the removal.  Him and his crew treated me with patience and respect during the "removal of this HUGE, mature tree.  They removed all stumps and debris.

He followed up with an additional phone call to schedule a follow up stump grinding.

We liked them so much we asked them to also correctly prune our fruit trees.  They were perfect!

I would HIGHLY recommend Craig and his crew to anyone. They are A+++

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Tree service projects in Mesa require deep, occasional watering tailored to the desert climate, especially during peak summer heat. Pruning should be done in late winter to encourage healthy growth and reduce storm damage. Regularly check for pests like palo verde beetles and monitor for signs of sunscald or drought stress. Adding mulch helps retain soil moisture, and post-monsoon inspections are essential for detecting wind or storm damage.

Helpful?

In Mesa, tree service contractors include certified arborists for tree health assessments, specialists in tree removal for hazardous or large trees, and experts in tree trimming and shaping. Some focus on palm or fruit tree care, while others handle emergency storm cleanup or utility line clearance. Many contractors have experience with drought-resistant species and offer bilingual services, ensuring your trees receive care tailored to the local environment.

Helpful?

For tree service in Mesa, keep essentials like sharp pruning shears, a sturdy pole pruner, and a pruning saw for thicker branches. Deep-watering tools and a soil moisture meter help manage hydration in dry conditions. Stock up on mulch for moisture retention, shade cloth for young trees, and pest control products for local insects. Always use protective gloves, safety glasses, and disinfectant to clean tools after each use.

Helpful?

In Mesa, schedule tree service between October and March for best results. Look for warning signs such as cracked limbs after storms, drooping or scorched leaves, visible pest infestations, or roots lifting above ground. Annual tree health checks each fall and pre-monsoon pruning can prevent future issues. Consider tree trimming before home renovations or if you notice branches encroaching on structures or power lines.

Helpful?

Before starting tree service in Mesa, review neighborhood or HOA guidelines and check if large tree removals require special permissions. Mark underground irrigation or utility lines to prevent accidental damage. Plan projects for cooler months to reduce stress on trees and avoid monsoon season for safety. Notify neighbors if tree work may impact shared spaces, and arrange for proper debris removal ahead of time.
