"We are exceptionally pleased with Bolt Electric's work (Matt) installing a ceiling fan on our vaulted ceiling. The fan was assembled, mounted (including light kit) in less than an hour and boxes etc were all hauled away and the work area completely clean. The cost was very reasonable. I would absolutely have Bolt out to our house for any future electrical work."

"The owner returned my call quickly and was able to send a tech out the next day. Service was provided in a very prompt and professional manner. The issues we had in our home were complex, the techs kept digging until all issues were resolved. Price charged was far less than I would have expected for the time and effort spent. I highly recommend Reiko Electric!!!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Homes in Glendale built before 1990, or those with original electrical panels, often benefit from upgrades. Signs like high summer utility bills, frequent AC-related electrical issues, or visible sun damage to outdoor wiring indicate a need for attention. If you’re planning to install solar panels, a pool, or an EV charger, electrical upgrades are recommended to meet modern energy efficiency and safety standards.

Helpful?

After finishing electrical work in Glendale, arrange for a city inspection if a permit was required. Test your system’s performance before summer to handle increased loads. Keep all project documentation for insurance and future home sales. Schedule a professional check each spring and inspect for storm-related damage after monsoon season to maintain electrical safety and prevent long-term issues.

Helpful?

Electrical maintenance in Glendale should address the region’s intense sun and dust. Schedule quarterly checks for panel connections and wiring, as heat can loosen fittings. Clean outlets and vents monthly to prevent dust buildup, which is common in the desert. Test GFCI outlets every month, especially during monsoon season, and inspect outdoor wiring for UV damage twice a year to maintain electrical safety and system reliability.

Helpful?

In Glendale, frequent breaker trips during high temperatures, burning smells from outlets, or lights flickering when major appliances run usually signal electrical issues. If outdoor lights fail after rain or GFCI outlets won’t reset post-storm, electrical repairs are likely needed. For problems isolated to your HVAC system, consult a heating and cooling expert familiar with AZ home wiring and climate.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Glendale, use high-temperature rated wiring and UV-resistant conduit to withstand the local climate. Weatherproof, outdoor-rated outlets are essential for monsoon protection. Choose LED fixtures designed for heat, and consider smart panels if you plan to add solar or EV charging. These materials help ensure your home wiring is durable and safe in Glendale’s demanding weather conditions.
