"Short version: They ALL did a great job. All the way from the 1st call to when they left after the job was done. Long version. I had 2 AC guys out and both said there was a short in the low voltage wire running between the upstairs air handler. One AC company quoted me $1,500 to do the job. YIKES. That seemed high...very high. The 2nd AC guy said he doesn't pull wire and I needed to find an electrician to do that job and then he would return after the new wire was ran. Since our upstairs AC has been out for literally 5 days we needed someone ASAP. So, I went on Angie's List and I filled out the form and less than 2 minutes after I submitted the form my phone rang. It was Stephanie from Bolt Electricity. I told her our dilemma and much to my surprise she scheduled their rep, Daniel, to come out here between 10am - 1PM. He got here around 11:00AM. I showed him what was needed, we discussed some options. He reviewed the situation and gave me a quote. A quote that made me nearly fall out of my chair. I said yes and when could he get someone out here to run the wires? He called their scheduler and they understood our situation, rearranged some jobs and said they could get two guys out here in a few hours. WOW. Almost fell out of my chair a 2nd time. Those two very polite and professional techs (Will and Matt) came right on time and got to work. And they did a fantastic job. And before they started to put the wire in the conduit, they called me out there and explained what they wanted to do and to get my approval. They then went back to work and finished up. Ok, let me wrap this up. They did a fantastic job, the work looks great and my wife and I could not be happier! Sorry about the gushing but when your AC is out in the summer in AZ and it gets fixed...well, you understand. Everyone at Bolt Electric treated us like we matter and did a fantastic job."

"Highly recommend this company. Damian gave me a fair quote of $425 to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging and was able to complete the job the same day. Professional, responsive, punctual, and the work came out clean and solid. Everything was explained clearly and the whole process was smooth. I’d definitely use him again for future electrical work."

"The owner returned my call quickly and was able to send a tech out the next day. Service was provided in a very prompt and professional manner. The issues we had in our home were complex, the techs kept digging until all issues were resolved. Price charged was far less than I would have expected for the time and effort spent. I highly recommend Reiko Electric!!!!"

"We contacted Temple Electric based on a friendâ s 5-star recommendation and are pleased to give our own 5-star review. We had several 30 year-old original lights and fixtures replaced throughout the house, garage and outside. Chip gave us a fair and detailed quote for the work that needed to be done. He had a very welcome wireless solution for rewiring an outside light that can now be turned on/off from inside the safety of the house rather than outside under the patio roof. All the fixtures are high quality and the work was expertly completed in the quoted amount of time. In one case drywall repair was needed for an exhaust fan that had to be moved. Daniel did an excellent job - the repair isnâ t even detectable. And after the work was done, they did a thorough clean-up. Chip and Daniel are honest, knowledgeable and expert electricians and we highly recommend Temple Electric."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Peoria, small electrical projects like installing outlets or light fixtures usually take 1–4 hours. Medium projects, such as ceiling fan installation or panel upgrades, often require 1–2 days. Larger jobs like whole-home rewiring may take 3–7 days. Timelines can be affected by permit approvals, inspection scheduling, and material availability, especially during peak summer months when demand for electricians increases.

Helpful?

In Peoria, you’ll find several types of electricians and electrical contractors: residential specialists for home upgrades, commercial contractors for business properties, solar installation experts for renewable energy systems, smart home professionals for automation, and emergency electricians for urgent repairs. Each type brings specific expertise, ensuring your electrical project—whether a panel upgrade or smart device installation—is handled by the right professional.

Helpful?

Upgrading your home’s electrical system in Peoria enhances comfort by supporting powerful air conditioning, smart thermostats, and reliable cooling—essential for Arizona’s climate. Outdoor spaces benefit from safe lighting and dedicated circuits for pools or patio features. Modern electrical upgrades also enable smart home integration, improved surge protection, and greater convenience, making your home safer and more enjoyable throughout the year.

Helpful?

Be cautious of electricians in Peoria who lack clear credentials, provide only vague contact information, or refuse to show proof of insurance. Extremely low quotes, requests for full payment upfront, or cash-only terms are warning signs. Poor communication, missing written contracts, or recommendations for unnecessary upgrades should also raise concerns. Always compare detailed quotes and check references to ensure you’re hiring a reputable electrical contractor.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Peoria offers immediate safety upgrades, improved energy efficiency, and compliance with local code requirements. Installing new outlets or upgrading your electrical panel helps support high-demand appliances, especially for cooling systems during hot Arizona summers. Over time, you’ll benefit from lower maintenance needs, increased property value, and a home electrical system that’s ready for future smart home technology and solar integration.
