"We are so pleased at the exceptional job that Five Star has done for us. From start to finish, it was a great experience. They provided quality products and worked within our budget. Matt and Paul did a professional job on installation and cleaned up after each day and completed the project within 2 days. We would highly recommend this company to anyone remodeling their bathroom."

"

Same day service performed once I discovered this morning I had a problem with house/well pressure. Essentially, the "T" fitting that was installed in 2008, by another company along with new pump, had rusted a hole thru it on backside of fitting (galvanized). Pump was running constantly unable to build up pressure.

Installer replaced with a brass fitting (pulling pipe up from well) and made corrections to how the vertical and horizontal pipes were aligned/supported.

They were very friendly and professional both on the phone and in person. I even got a follow up call after service was completed. Found on Angie's list and was not disappointed. In the event I need further service, they get the

"We hired Matt and his team to do a full bathroom remodel. Our main bathroom space is very small with limited ability to expand. Matt took our basic ideas and worked to come up with a new design that would increase space and still be within code. He was very friendly and helpful through the entire process. There were some areas where we had some very specific design goals in mind and Matt worked extremely hard to make sure we were always pleased with the end result. The remodel involved removing an old unused chimney to free up space and when an unforeseen issue arose with some built up soot being released into our basement, Matt very quickly and professionally worked to clean and resolve the situation. The job was completed in a timely manner and with minimal interruption to our daily routine. Matt always kept us updated with what they had accomplished and what they would be doing next. The initial quote was very reasonable, and through the entire job, MH held to their original price, aside from a few items that we specifically asked to have added. The end result is we couldn't be happier with our new bathroom. MH maximized our small space and gave us a bathroom we can be proud of. We've already contacted Matt about additional projects and are happy to recommend MH Renovations to anyone who is looking for a quality, competitive contractor who takes good care of their customers and seems to genuinely appreciate your business. Thanks, Matt!"

"Easy process from start to finish. They are a family business and they did an amazing job. There were multiple problems because it is an old house but all were resolved. Our master bathroom looks beautiful and all credit goes to Top Brothers, you cannot find a better construction team. We would work with them again and recommend them for any kind of project."

"I initially called back in March of last year inquiring what it would cost to replace my water heater. I'd gotten quotes from 2 other plumbers/ plumbing companies. Premier Services contacted via phone then via text. Very, very easy to communicate with, and they kept in contact with me at least twice within the last year, but not in an annoying or pushy way. Their quote was at least $300 cheaper than the other competitors. Still with quality product, Rheem. They also offered a lot of varieties with different warranty options. Jim installed my new water heater, very nice man. Kept me in the loop of how things were going with taking out the old heater (I like to know these things). Was in and out in 2 hours. It's so nice to have hot water again!! Would definitely recommend."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

You can prevent pipes from bursting by taking several preventive measures. For example:

  • Keep your pipes from freezing when temperatures drop by setting your thermostat to 55 degrees or higher.

  • Open under-sink cabinets to allow warm air to flow around the pipes.

  • Let faucets drip to keep water moving.

  • Add insulation to crawl spaces or pipes to keep them warm.

Trenchless sewer replacements are actually a great solution for sewer lines located under concrete. A professional can still sleeve and burst old piping to make room for a new one without having to dig up your slab.

Left unattended, a leaking toilet will eventually cause water damage or mold growth. If you’re a homeowner, you can file an insurance claim for water damage. However, that can be a long and tedious process; sometimes, your insurance company may not cover the damage. Therefore, it’s always best to fix any leak you notice right away if you can.

If the outside temperature drops below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, it will take around six hours for your pipes to freeze—and they might even burst. That’s why keeping your mobile home’s temperature around 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit is necessary, even if you’re leaving it vacant for the winter. In addition, having ample skirting around the mobile home's underbelly will help keep pipes insulated during the winter.

There are three main types of shower valves: pressure-balancing, thermostatic, and diverter. Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves are both considered mixing valves because they regulate water flow and temperature, but they do so in different ways. A pressure-balancing valve senses changes in water pressure, such as from a flushing toilet, and adjusts the incoming hot and cold water to maintain a consistent temperature; these typically use a single knob. A thermostatic valve uses a thermostat to precisely control the water temperature and requires a separate control to adjust the water volume. A diverter valve directs the flow of water from one fixture to another, such as switching from a tub faucet to a showerhead in a tub-shower combination.
