"Premier Water Heater servicemen arrived on time for the new water heater installation. Service personnel were very professional, and their quality of work was excellent. They removed the old water heater and took it with them for disposal when the new water heater installation was completed, and they also cleaned their work area. I highly recommend Premier Water Heaters."
"My technician Kyle was very informative and respectful. He explained what was going on and was very professional. Kyle even left me with an electric heater for the evening until they could replace my furnace the next day. Kyle was back early the next morning to start the replacement of my old furnace for the new one and it is working great! I am so happy that I was able to get this done right away."
"Very efficient and was able to get our water heater replaced in a timely manner. Was on-site on time and replacement done in 2 hours or so. Great crew that did the work. Would definitely recommend."

"From the start, Gary (owner) was responsive and professional. He answered several questions pre- and post-sale and it was very easy to schedule a day. Gary and Jeff arrived almost a half-hour early which worked well for me. I was prepared to be without power most of the day, but they got it all done in about four hours. Having your electrical panel replaced is a bit like getting underwear for Christmas; you need it but it's not overly exciting. When they finished it looked like they'd never been there. They cleaned up everything. The new panel was labeled (legibly, unlike the original). The new panel was slightly larger which makes connecting the conduit more difficult. The mains were sealed with putty. The reason the panel had to be replaced was water leakage into the old panel which won't happen again. Overall I'm very happy with their company, attitude, the work they did, and the quality of the work. I highly recommend Power Tech if you need electrical work done. "
"I have used this company multiple times over the years. Installed a hot water heater and fixed some pipes when they froze in the winter. Dale is the best of the best! Would highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"It went very, very well. I called Windy City Rooter at 8am and before 11am they were fixing the water heater. I thought a new one was needed but that was not the case. The temperature & pressure valve caused the leakage. it was replaced immediately. James and Justin were very friendly, courteous and professional. Both provided excellent service."

"Awesome job. Highly recommend and will use them in the future. Purchased the roof inspection off Angie's list. They came and were on the roof in no time. We were told our nails hadn't been caulked, and he did a quick caulk (which may explain some water leakage we had). Did some minor repairs and was extremely friendly. All said and told in less than 15 minutes. We will need some new shingles soon, and I will definitely give them a call. "

While a water heater explosion is rare, it is a serious danger. Be aware of these critical warning signs:
Sulfur or Rotten Egg Smell: This is a major red flag, especially for gas water heaters. It can indicate a gas leak, which could ignite and cause an explosion.
Leaking Pressure Valve: If the temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve is leaking, it may not be able to properly regulate internal pressure, creating a risk of bursting.
Shaking or Rumbling: Loud rumbling or shaking from the tank can be a sign of extreme pressure buildup.
Excessive Heat: If the exterior of the water heater feels unusually hot to the touch, the unit may be overheating dangerously.
Rust-Colored Water: This can be a symptom of severe internal corrosion that compromises the tank's integrity.
If you notice any of these signs, especially a gas smell, you must act immediately. Shut off the gas supply to the water heater and call a professional plumber right away to prevent a potential disaster.
Every type of water heater has its advantages and disadvantages. Understanding those can help you decide the best type for your situation and budget.

Depending on the brand of water heater, you may need to install an expansion tank in order to meet the conditions for warranty coverage. It’s important for consumers to read the fine print of the warranty to see if an expansion tank is necessary. Even if an expansion tank isn’t required for the warranty, it’s usually mandated by building codes—although not for tankless water heaters.
Traditional gas or electric water heaters last an average of six to 11 years. However, with excellent maintenance, they can last up to 15 years. Heat pump water heaters, on the other hand, last an average of between 12 and 15 years and potentially longer with proper maintenance. In both cases, your home's water quality can be a determining factor regarding the lifespan of your water heater.
A well-maintained hot water recirculating pump can last 5 to 15 years. Pumps that run continuously may have a shorter lifespan than demand-controlled models. Hard water can reduce longevity by causing mineral buildup in the pump and pipes. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning or replacing filters, can extend the pump’s lifespan.
