1-866-SLABJACK is your local cement raising expert all around the Puget Sound including Renton, Puyallup Redmond, Mercer Island, Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Olympia and Kent. Our team specializes in concrete raising services for patios, porches, sidewalks, driveways, garages and more. Contact us today for a free estimate and find out more about why slabjacking is a more cost effective and eco friendly alternative to replacing cracked or sunken slabs. Slabjacking pumps a soil-cement slurry or polyurethane material under a sunken slab to "float" it back to original elevation. Slabjacking is a faster, cleaner, and less-costly concrete raising service versus replacement.

"They were able to raise the slab up to close up the crack."

30 employees. Cost is determined by the job. Travel charges apply. Additional DBAs - Robbins & Company Inc, Robbins and Company Foundation Systems, Robbins Foundation Systems, Robbins House Moving. "If I could give this company a negative star rating, I would. This is by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, of any type, in my entire life. I had a settling garage and in November 2019 I contacted Robbins to see if they could fix it . After looking at the project, they told me that they could not consider proceeding or giving me an estimate without my obtaining an engineers report. They referred me to an engineer who prepared a report (for $4000) and then provided a copy to me and to Robbins. In January 2020, I contacted Robbins to see if they could give me an estimate based on the report. They said they would get back to me. At minimum, over the next six months, I had at least 10 communications with Robbins (not an exaggeration), either over the telephone or in writing trying to determine the status of my project. During that time, when I contacted them, they either didn’t respond to my communication or told me that they were still “working on it.“ Finally, frustrated after six months, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I explained the situation, he apologized profusely, and told me that he would look into the situation, and get back to me the next day. A week went by and I heard nothing back from the supervisor, as promised. So, I ended up calling the supervisor and asked him what he found out. He told me that based upon the engineering proposal, “this was not a project that they would do.“ I asked him why, if he had the engineering plans for six months, I wasn’t advised sooner that they weren’t going to proceed on the project. He simply said that he thought it had been communicated to me. So, eight months after contacting this company, I have incurred over $4000 in engineering fees and have to start searching for a foundation repair company all over, after wasting my time with Robbins. Obviously, from other reviews, other people have had different experiences with this company. For me personally, I have never been treated so poorly with customer service or had such a horrible experience."

"This job was a complete master bath remodel. The old tub, vanity, toilet and flooring were removed. Then a tile shower, sliding glass door, heated tile flooring, new toilet and vanity were installed. The work performed by Emerald Isle was top notch and I could not be happier. All work was performed thoroughly and professionally. This includes everything from the tile layer to the sub contractors that performed the plumbing and electrical work. The job site was kept in good order, minimizing the impact of the rest of the house. The project manager, Marcus, kept things moving and kept me well informed throughout. The business owner, Andrew, was very personally involved, coming by at all stages of the project to ensure all was going smoothly. And all this was done for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Emerald Isle Construction and Tile."

Located in Redmond though we service the entire Pugent Sound Region. Dellgard authorized contractor. Showroom available for visitation. Saturday service by appointments. Additional [email protected]

"Customers be aware that their 10-year-warranty is a joke. They blame the poor installation job on anything to avoid the responsibility for warranty repair. For example, they first blamed it on poor quality of the slabs we chose and then they blamed it on ground movement. We hired this company to built a patio in 2018. The business owner was very reassuring and confident during consultation that if they do the job the slabs will not sink. The crew forgot to turn off the water and left the water running overnight. The next day when they came back to finish the job they just wanted to rush and finish up. They did not fix the issue with the uneven slabs. The 2'x2' vancouver bay slabs started to sink more and more. We infomed them that the sinking slabs are getting worse. It took them 2 months to come back to repair it. When we let Jodelle (the business manager the time) know of this matter, she had the entitled attitude telling us that they will charge us for any future repairs. She thinks she did us a favor by coming back 2 months after installation to fix a poorly installed patio. Long story short, the repair did not last long and after a few rains, the slabs sunk further and became more uneven because they filled up the base with a lot of the existing dirt (loam soil) that was already there. This is why the patio kept getting worse."

Patios questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install a patio is around $4,000, but you could spend anywhere from $800 to $14,000 or more. Some cost factors you’ll need to consider for an accurate estimate include the following:

  • Square footage of the patio

  • Type of patio you want (concrete, pavers, or brick)

  • Soil quality on your property, which can dictate if drainage is necessary

  • Add-on products

  • Local permitting costs, if applicable

  • Accessibility of your yard

Ensures durability and correct finishing, enhancing usability and safety.

If you used regular jointing sand, you can typically walk on the repaired area right away. If you used polymeric sand, wait at least 24 hours before walking on it and 48 to 72 hours before driving over it, depending on the weather. Polymeric sand needs time to fully cure and lock the pavers in place.

You don't technically need rebar for a concrete patio, but it's a good idea to install it, especially if your patio will support any heavy items. All concrete is susceptible to cracking, and rebar keeps cracks in check while maintaining a smooth, level surface. Without rebar, cracks will likely widen and cause the concrete to become uneven, compromising its structural integrity.

Crumbling concrete steps will affect your ability to drill into the material and affix a sturdy railing. If the damage is primarily cosmetic, you might be able to DIY the repair with a patch kit. If the concrete is badly crumbling, hire a professional who specializes in pouring concrete. The average concrete step repair cost is $500 from a professional, but the extent of the damage will determine your actual cost. The professional may recommend a replacement if the damage is extensive.
