We had several flower bed areas with a huge amount of weeds. Alfredo's team arrived one weekday and removed the weeds, pruned, cleaned up everything and it looks fantastic! They left all of the plants that we wanted to keep in good shape. This is the third time we've worked with Jackalyn Landscaping and I feel confident recommending them.

This was not a and quot;funand quot; job. Our house is on a corner lot, with hundreds of square feet of sloped planting area. It was overrun with weeds. The crew came in and removed all of the weeds, and then installed 3and quot; of new bark. It is amazing how much better it looks, and I couldn't be happier with the work they did...well, almost.

When Alfredo came to give an estimate, I asked if should show him what should stay, or if his crew would know the difference between plants and weeds. It seems like a silly question to ask a landscaper, right? Right; Alfredo assured me they knew the difference. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I had recently planted 3 torch lilies, and a lilac start. All four of the plants ranged in height from 5and quot; - 9and quot;, and none of them looked anything like weeds. But they are gone. The lilac was a special species that I drove all the way to Woodland WA to get...about 300 miles, roundtrip.

Also gone were 2 decorative stepping stones that were gifts from my son. There were 5 stones leading a path from our driveway to the front porch steps. Now there are 3. I don't understand how 12and quot; diameter stepping stones could have been mistaken for weeds. While these stones were not monetarily valuable, they were important to me.

I think what I'm most disappointed with is that I informed Alfredo about these issues, and he hasn't even acknowledged my concerns. There's nothing to be done, at this point.

Alfredo did discount the job by $200 over the original quote, so maybe he thinks that settles it. I wasn't expecting him to give money back, but an apology seems appropriate to me.

They quoted $1000. for preparing our yard for hydro seed.  We required more topsoil, as Alfredo had said we likely would, and I ordered it.  Alfredo never said more topsoil would increase the price of the yard prep. There was no price per yard discussed ever.  After the job was done, and it was done beautifully, he more than doubled the price.  On one hand, I understand because they worked hard and it was a lot of topsoil.  On the other, if I had known, I likely would have made different decisions because I would have all the information.  So we agreed to $2000. and again, the job was done beautifully, but I would suggest having a clear understanding of how the estimate is structured rather than being surprised after the job is done.  They worked hard and they did a beautiful job.

He was very thorough and his estimates were spot on and very concise as far as the scope of the work laid out. He was friendly and on time; his guys worked over time in a day to get it all done. The value of his price was good too.

They arrived when they said they would, worked fast, and did a fantastic job. I'll absolutely use them again.

It went just perfectly. See above description. Oh yes, and they hauled away all of the debris, of which there was plenty. There were also a lot of broken off branches, or parts thereof, from the trees in past windstorms. I'm a widow and I really appreciated having someone to do all of this in 'one fell swoop'.
Alfredo is very easy to work with and definitely knows what he's doing. The aerating and seeding he did for free (they had everything they needed, with them. I think maybe my being alone had something to do with it, also he is just nice!)
Next: pressure washing the deck, and the driveway and sidewalks. They also have a lawn-mowing service, which I may take advantage.
Spring has sprung!!! :)

They struggled to do the job as I have 4+ acres and they did not have a riding lawnmower though I offered mine. They were very apologetic and nice but didn't want to come back.

Alfredo is so far very nice to work with and less costly than the other local service we went to use (Casa Bonita). He is personable and does a good job. This was for a cleanup on our one acre. They cleaned, mowed, edged, pulled out vines, trimmed bushes, etc. The only complaint I had was he had one guy on his team who kept eating our raspberries. We had to tell him they were obviously not wild raspberries and were not for his crew's snacking. But all in all we like working with them. We also set him up to mow when my husband travels out of area a few weeks at a time.

From our first contact, Alfredo has been punctual and professional. He came out to give an initial bid on a Sunday (on Father's Day!) and was well under other bids I'd received from other services and individuals. They did a great job of the initial cleanup ($300), enough so that some of my other neighbors hired him to do their own back yards, and one (a general contractor) which was impressed enough to hire Alfredo out for some larger work on his own projects.
They now do a mow/edge/trim every 2 weeks, and I'm really happy with their work, especially the edging around flower beds and the trimming they have to do on the steepest parts of the back yard.

They where very responcive and on time. The team of gardeners worked well together and never stopped until everything had been completed to my satisfaction. Excellent company.

Alfredo is a great guy and is really easy to talk to on the phone and in person. He seems like he really want to make the customer happy. When he first came out to my house, he provided an on the spot estimate and offered to do the work and quot;next Sundayand quot;. This was very short notice and I was surprised that he and his crew worked on weekends on short notice. That being said, I would recommend that you and quot;over communicateand quot; with him to make sure appointments occur as planned. Overall, his prices are reasonable and his crew does a great job.

Alfredo's team showed up within 48 hours of my first initial meeting with Alfredo. They arrived on time and did exactly what they said they were going to do. My initial request was for yard maintenance. He provided a very competitive price so I continued down the path the the bark and clean-up. They worked VERY hard all day. My yard looks GREAT! I couldn't be happier with the service I received, and look forward to working with them on my 2x a month service.

Always on time. Yard looks great when they leave. Very fast.

Came when scheduled. Did more than estimated. Did a comprehensive job. Was flexible with pricing.

When Alfredo gave me his business card, I noticed that his firm's name ends with the words and quot;and construction.and quot; So I showed him a
porch support post tat needed replacing and asked it he does that sort of thing. He said yes, and gave me an on-the-spot price of $150, which I accepted. He came with one other fellow and did the job a week later. The 55-inch-long post was 1.5 inches out of plumb, so I made them do it over again with a new post, and had to personally supervise the entire job to make sure it was done right.
To his credit, Alfredo ate the cost of the second post, and the price remained at $150.
I would hire Jackalyn again in a heartbeat for yard work. But I would hire them only as personal helpers for any kind of deck or porch repair.
