We are so pleased with our landscape work designed and installed by Reynolds Landscaping. Communication was excellent, and the whole process from design to installation was efficient and well done. We had a big renovation to remove our overgrown landscaping, and now the house looks so much better. We have had lots of compliments from the neighbors.

Their excellent Foreman, Jovanny, and his team as well as their talented landscape designer, Elaine, did an incredible job. And Sandy kept on top of our scheduling. Everyone was nice to work with and they are professionals at their jobs. Our landscape job involved completely deconstructing our existing yard, resurfacing it to reduce a sloped hill and adding large boulders, plantings, sod and flagstone paths and area. The transformation of our yard feels like a completely different space. We love our new landscape! Thanks again for everything! We recently worked with Reynolds landscaping to completely redo our backyard and most of our front yard and driveway. They were very helpful in helping us figure out what we wanted. The crew was super respectful and easy to work with. We had some minor communication issues but despite that everything turned out wonderfully. We would work with them again.

Terrific job creating a truly beautiful backyard patio, with curved stone retaining wall, bluestone pavers, and a unique curved, stepped entrance to our house.

Jim and the crew were incredibly thoughtful with the project before and during the implementation. They planned, communicated and executed. Everything was hands off. In the end they delivered exactly what we wanted and exceeded our expectations. 3. Craftsmanship. They treated our project as if it was their own. Every single step was taken without skipping corners. They went far and beyond to ensure no damage was done to existing landscape.

Jim and his team exceeded expectations in all phases of the project, from the initial consultation and design to the finishing touches. The project went great. We worked with Tehia as a project manager leading up to the project. Communication was good and she us through picking stone and plants, making the lead-up pretty painless. During the job Jovanny and the crew were very professional and super friendly. The project went pretty much as planned with only a few day delay in the middle to find the right window for pouring concrete. We made a few adjustments to the plans during the project and even switched stone after the first batch from the stone place didn't look great on site. Despite this the team handled it without any issue and we were focused on making sure we were happy. Overall an excellent experience.

I am absolutely thrilled with the work that Reynold's Landscaping did in my backyard. I had reached out to Jim knowing I needed my deck replaced and some landscaping redone. We had a couple of collaborative conversations about what I wanted done, the style I liked, and my overall goals for the project. Elaine, the landscape designer, immediately understood the vision and came up with a design that required little editing. Jim put me in contact with a very talented carpenter to build a pergola to replace an old one. Jovanny, the lead on the landscaping and paver portion of project, was onsite every day and was very receptive to any small tweaks I requested. They worked fast and professionally and executed what I can only describe as a total transformation that I wasn't prepared for. My favorite feature is the birdbath/rain chain catcher that Jim had picked out. I initially thought it was too big and not exactly what I wanted, but Jim absolutely made the right choice and I just love it. I would eagerly hire Jim and team again for any other landscaping needs in the future.

The entire experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Jim and his crew are very responsive. Tehia the designer is highly knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping including a wide variety of materials and plants. I have a two tier back yard that has about a 5-6 foot drop at the middle of my house, with an old unusable deck off the top section and an old concrete slab patio in the lower section. To top if off there was no walkway between the upper and lower section. Reynolds landscaping came out listened to what I was thinking about provide a wonderful design and we moved forward with getting schedule. We ultimately landed on ripping out the upper and lower areas and putting fresh paver patios in and a beautiful natural stone steps to tie them together. This was a pretty massive project and they absolutely crushed it. Communication was great throughout the whole project from initial ideation, to design, to actual work.

Jim took a lot of time going through the planned work with us before anything began, and gave us a lot of great advice. His work crew was very professional, and listened to any feedback we had while the project was underway. Jim was very flexible as we made changes to the plans while the work progressed. The end result looks beautiful, especially the fire pit and the lights throughout the yard. Since the work was completed, Jim has been great about following up with a few outstanding issues we still had.

We contracted for an initial project involving planting and hardscape. Jim spent a lot of time going over plans and pros and cons. We had water issues at the time and all the plants were drought tolerant and low maintenance. All survived the first year. Plantings were selected so that we had early and late bloomers as well as plants that looked good through the winter. Patio turned out great. A couple years later we completed phase two and everything was on time and done well, a couple of plants didn't survive and they replaced them at no cost. Already planning phase 3!

We absolutely loved Reynolds Landscaping and our landscape designer Tehia. We had lots of different companies quote our backyard renovation and Reynolds was by far the most professional and organized from the very beginning. They gave us a detailed quote (multiple pages) of everything we had discussed broken down into categories and then were true to their word on price and schedule. We completely gutted our backyard, terraced it, added a deck, patio, fountain, gas fire pit, and trees/plants. The Reynolds team (Braden) scheduled all the subcontractors to get in the deck, gas lines, electrical, irrigation and handled the whole construction in a timely manner without anyone feeling rushed. We have a small yard so it was a coordinated effort to get everything in through a tiny gate. Tehia adjusted the original design based on HOA/city rules as well as provided excellent judgment on placement of different elements to function in the space. She went to multiple places with me to pick out plants, rocks, a fountain, etc and was excellent at guiding me aways from things that would be difficult to maintain. I have a black thumb and will kill a plant if at all possible, but she was fabulous at helping me find things I love that I also can't kill. I feel like they gave my project the time it needed to come out above expectations. The rock landscaping specifically is a work of art which they readjusted over the course of many days to work fabulous in relation to the other elements (the fountain, fire pit, patio). They also fixed a lot of issues that our old backyard possessed. Specifically, they suggested terracing the yard into 3 distinct sections (deck, yard, patio) so that it's no longer a hazard to run down. They replaced the soggy, mossy grass with the correct drainage/soil to make grass work in the same area. In conclusion, I have worked with many different companies to do projects around my home, and few live up to my high expectations. Reynolds is the only one that has surpassed them.

They were excellent and were great in communication at all times. The end result was perfect and we would highly recommend them. We would definitely hire them again.

It’s not like we planned to let the backyard fall apart – we’re good people! But between kids, work, other chores, and just letting it get out of hand a little bit more each summer . . . well, we just finally gave up. And it showed. After several failed plans to do something on our own, we started to research landscapers and have them come out and give us some feedback. We met some nice people from well-received landscape businesses, but when Jim Reynolds walked through our door, we knew within about ten minutes we had found our guy. What Jim did more than anyone else we talked with was listen. He heard my wife she said she wanted a place to read, he was paying attention when we talked about wanting a space that could be easily maintained, and he listened very closely when we started talking about our budget range. The pictures speak for themselves. Reynolds Landscape took a backyard that looked like something out of a Stephen King story (seriously, if you peer into the corner with the overgrown weeds you’ll see a clown . . . a clown I tell ya!) and transformed it into a place where a person can stretch out in the sun and read all the books they want – Stephen King included. Jim and his crew at Reynolds Landscape were superlative in all aspects of the project. There was great communication with what was being done and when it would be completed, the crew in the backyard were always thoughtful and conscientious, the folks Jim brought in to do the electrical and construction were outstanding professionals, and the project was completed a bit early and was on budget (and as we needed to make some changes, Jim was always giving us options as to how we could make the most with the money we wanted to spend). Oh, and did I mention it looks AMAZING!!! Both my wife and I feel like we just added another room to our house – and we find ourselves just sitting out there and smiling because we are so happy with out it turned out. Wow! So impressed with Jim and his helpers. Jim responded to my call, gave us a bid the same day and completed the job three days later. Would highly recommend!

Despite this project being at high season for landscaping work, Jim Reynolds (company owner) was very responsive to my online inquiry and I had an estimate appointment just a few days later. As Jim and I walked my small lot, we talked about how I wanted to use the space - not only what I wanted it to look like, but how I wanted it to feel. Jim was very knowledgeable about plants as well as hardscape. We discussed everything from ambient environmental sounds and angles of light at different seasons, to growth rates for various trees and best plants for winter color. Jim's designer Elaine worked carefully with me on both hardscape design and plant selection. I had some fairly specific ideas about what I wanted, and she beautifully incorporated those into the design. We established a start date and Reynolds was able to begin a couple of days early. The foreman for our project was Braden, and he was just outstanding to work with. He was quickly responsive via email, text, or phone, and kept in contact with me at every step of the process. He kept me informed about how we were doing in terms of schedule, and how the current day's work had gone. He explained in advance what would be happening the next day. When I had a last-minute need for a tweak of the design, Braden and Jim both worked closely with me and we had a resolution within hours. One day during construction I overheard Jim come by just to check in with Braden, to see how things were going and if there was anything he needed. That level of professionalism and engagement was what I experienced with every person on Jim's team - respect, transparency, clear communication, and fun. Truly a pleasure to work with.

The short version:
Jim and his entire crew (office, design and landscape/implemention) are
absolutely top-notch. We did a pretty thorough overhaul of our entire yard
which included new concrete patios/walkways, a boulder-strewn courtyard, and
some gorgeous vegetable beds in a very non-traditional area. Throughout the
entire process we felt comfortable with Jim's knowledge, his professionalism,
and his ability to direct a crew and other subs. They were on-time, on-budget
and everyone we dealt with was friendly, fun, professional and hard-working. We
really can't recommend them enough, and most importantly, we trust them. I
would hire Reynolds Landscape again in an instant and have been telling all my
friends about their work.

 

Long version: My
husband and I can't say enough great things about Reynolds Landscaping. We just
finished a complete remodel of the interior and exterior of our home using many
different contactors, and Jim's outfit was far and away the most professional,
courteous and reliable of the bunch. When we set out to have our landscaping
revived we didn't know anyone in the industry. We were really taking a chance
based on reviews, and we're SO glad we did.

 

Jim responded to our
online query immediately and set up a meeting with us to talk about our needs.
He was clearly knowledgeable about plants and hardscape options and suggested a
lot of great ideas right off the bat. We had some definite ideas as well concerning
the usability and layout of our property, and Jim listened closely and checked
in with us frequently to make sure everything was on track.

 

They scheduled us
for late August, and actually started early. They were realistic with us about
the timeline, and we were so appreciative of that. They stayed on time and the
crew communicated with us all along the way to make sure we knew what was happening
next. Speaking of the crew - Wilmer was the foreman, and he is AMAZING! Clearly
takes a lot of pride in his work, and he's also great about communicating
changes and asking questions to make sure we were in lockstep on the design
throughout the entire project. The entire crew was at our house early every
single day. We truly felt like we were being made a priority. They were also
all very nice and fun to talk to, and our neighbors both commented on how
courteous The Reynolds' crew were in terms of parking their vehicles.

 

Jim was great about
budget as well - he was transparent the entire way through and really listened
to us when we were explaining our priorities for the space. He never got us to
try to spend more, and was great at offering up alternatives, or giving us the
benefit of his knowledge regarding where we could likely get away with spending
less.

 

After starting the
project, it became clear that there are a ton of variables to think about when
creating a beautiful landscape. Jim, Wilmer, and the crew stay very flexible
and it's obvious that their experience and knowledge is critical to tackling any
design challenges (while keeping in mind the timeline and priorities) that crop
up while the project is underway. With the rest of the subcontractors working
on my house, I felt like I had to micromanage every single move and get ahead
of every single thing that could go wrong. With Jim and Wilmer I didn't have to
do that. They inspired me to trust in their judgment and they made the right
choice, every time, for our property.

 

Simply put: Jim
Reynolds and his crew are good, trustworthy people doing beautiful, quality
work within realistic budgets and timelines. This is a really hard combination
to find and we feel really lucky to have found it in Reynolds Landscape. Keep

Jim and his team are amazing. The stone paver patio is beautiful. The retaining wall and the fire pit are a work of art -- Jim's team did an amazing job designing it and working on it, making changes when something didn't look quite right to them, always checking in -- but their judgment was expert! Friends and family that have been over to see it and to sit around the fire pit are amazed at the work that was done. Highly recommend -- one caution, get started early, with the kind of work they do and their reputation, this company is in high demand!

We've done two projects with Jim and been very pleased with both. (First project was $30k.) He came up with the idea of putting a patio in our side yard which we hadn't considered, and it turned out to be just the right concept. He uses rocks and hardscaping very well and has a designer to dream up a brilliant plant design. I loved that they gave me a list of suggested plants with photos so I could go through it all and pick out what I liked. Made the process easy. The only problems: one of the plants chosen turned out to be toxic to cats (of which I have two.) And in our second project, the lighting no longer worked after the project was completed and I had to pay for Jim's guy to fix them. Seemed a little odd. Their reasoning, I'm guessing, is that the wiring wasn't done correctly the first time. Was a smidge annoying after just spending many, many thousands.? Overall, though, we love how the landscaping has changed how we use our outdoor space. We would definitely use them again for the next project.
