"Vic Johnson and his crew were great from the start to finish of our kitchen remodel: quality work, great communication, helpful in problem solving. All subcontractors and vendors provided quality work and products. Cost was fair and competitive. Will definitely call on them for future projects."

"Ryan was absolutely fantastic. I was nervous about bumping up my project to the next level and hiring him as an architect but he made everything easy and understandable. I felt like he was a true member of my team."

"Khoa Ha is more than just a builder/carpenter. He's a creative. By this I mean, in addition to his outstanding carpentry skill, he uses his ability to re-imagine, or to think outside the box, and this talent allows him to come up with brilliant solutions. We had an old, poorly-built, amateurish, set of outdoor access stairs leading to a tenant's upper apartment unit. They were not to code, and were coming apart. In addition to this, the front door and the side light window of the apartment unit had been framed in so badly that a 1"x1" piece of daylight was exposing the apartment to the elements! I had already received 3 bids for the job by the time Khoa met me on site. Why? I just didn't have confidence in those contractors. It requires advanced skill to build a safe set of stairs. And, as long as these stairs were going to be demo-ed, I'd hoped to improve the footprint/design/layout with the new build. Khoa saw, immediately, the problem with the existing layout as built, and quickly sketched a re-design on scrap paper. I asked myself, why didn't any of the other contractors I'd met on site, understand, or recognize that it was the existing layout/design that was flawed. The other carpenters offered to re-create the stair run in the same configuration, and, to have them take up an even larger footprint that what was existing! The footprint was restricted on all 4 sides, and was limited to a very specific, contained area. Khoa recognized the problem right away, and was able to get me to see it, as well, which gave me a great deal of confidence in his ability. As he explained, "I do this type thing all the time with stairs". When the bid came in it was nearly 2x what the other contractors' were. I was disappointed, thinking I wouldn't be able to get close enough with my budget to use him. Rather than moving on to another contractor, I simply gave Khoa the bottom line number for my project, and expected to hear him laugh. My budget was just HALF of his original estimate. And, to his credit, rather than blowing me off, he worked with me in order to shave the original bid down, in half, to fit my funding for the project. Over multiple communications with me, he dedicated himself to deciding what existing materials could be reused, and to re-thinking the use of pressure-treated materials vs. higher end lumbers. And, in the end, he was even able to include a new door and window install that needed to be included in the project, as well. It is obvious to me Khoa works very hard to build relationships and to stay flexible within a budget. The difference Khoa's re-designed has made, cannot be under-stated. My tenant is thrilled! I'm thrilled! Khoa Ha and JJ Construction will be the first I call on for my construction needs going forward. I will recommend him to any of my friends, family or colleagues who ask. And, I most certainly recommend him to you! Khoa Ha and JJ Construction are of an integrity rarely found today. Thank you,"

"This company is built internally the right way. Extremely professional and everything is in house. I repeat...IN HOUSE. If you have ever dealt with a remodeling company that employs outsourced labor, it can be a mis-quote nightmare. Other companies pointed me to handy men for this job not realizing I might need or want more than that in the future. Thank you"

"I can't say enough good things about Yariel. We have used different contractors for remodeling condos for sale, but I will only use Yariel Bello going forward. He is detail conscious, creative with selecting products, and incredibly efficient. He finished an extensive remodel early, with everything completed beyond my expectations. His work included full bathroom remodel, painting, baseboards, doors, electrical, kitchen appliances, sinks, countertops, plumbing. If you are looking for someone to get a condo ready for sale, or to move in, look no further than Bello Home Solutions."

"It took us time to find a contractor. We got over Six quotes only two contractors actually sent us a bid. Ben was very responsive. He sent us the quote within a week from the visit. We were very satisfied with the process. We were always in the know. We have done renovations In the past with contractors and we were always not pleased with not knowing the schedule. We finally found someone we can trust and will definitely be using him again. Thank you again Ben it was a pleasure meeting you and working with you."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

When you think about Arts and Crafts-style homes, you probably think of a Craftsman house or a bungalow-style Craftsman. Craftsman is one of the major styles developed during the Arts and Crafts movement, but it checks most boxes. Craftsman houses have low-pitched roofs, exposed rafters, open floor plans, and stunning wood finish.

There are several different steps in the pole barn building process. First, you’ll need construction plans, which you’ll use to obtain permits. Then, you can clear the land so it’s suitable for building and installing the foundation. Your contractor will frame the barn using large poles, then rough in the plumbing and electricity (if your barn has those elements) before finishing the interior, adding siding, and installing the roof.

After that, they’ll finish up the electrical work and plumbing and add your windows and doors. You may have a few other finishing jobs to do like painting or waterproofing.

Drawing your own floor plans is acceptable for many kinds of projects, including interior design and room layout. You can use floor plan software to create the plans but keep in mind that the floor plan will only be as accurate as the measurements you take and enter into the software.

The best way to start designing a house is to know what you want before designing. Making a list of your biggest priorities in a home will help. Designing a house without an idea of what you need or want in a home will lead to many trials and errors that could make it harder to figure out what you need in your design.

A floor plan is a less detailed illustration showing a building or room's layout from above, including elements like windows, doors, walls, and fixtures. It offers a simplified view for homeowners. In contrast, a blueprint is a more detailed, to-scale architectural drawing that includes all parts of the building plans, such as structural elements, construction details, and utility schematics. While a floor plan can be a type of view within a blueprint, the complete blueprint contains all the necessary details to turn the plan into a reality.
