"Extremely pleased with immediate response on Home Advisior request for Pro. Ron called immediately right about our need. Ron gave fair quote and offered several dates right away to work with our schedule. We picked a time so I could get to work. He arrived 10 minutes early which really helped my work schedule. He and his step-daughter were very friendly, caring, professional, clean an quick. Worked really well together. He mentioned in initial call he would fix hole in drywall so we would never know there was a hole. Both did the deliver. Painted wall section as well and blended so we can’t tell anything ever happened to wall. Very respectful of our property. Absolutely impressed with their work and highly recommend Ron C. Drywall, LLC for your repair. Ron even confirmed and and was easy to reach when I called him back. So professional!! Thank you Ron C. Drywall, LLC from a most satisfied customer in Mukilteo."

"If you are local and EVER have drywall needs, Level Up Drywall is amazing. Juan is super kind, knowledgeable, professional, fast and his rates are beyond reasonable and their customer service is fantastic. I had a section of drywall in my child’s room that had disintegrated. Juan removed it, patched and textured it and made it look like it never happened. Times are hard for everyone, especially local, small businesses (I unfortunately lost the best plumber for this reason), so if you need someone who knows what he’s doing, give Level Up a call and support a local family that makes sure you, your home and your family are taken care of right. I am so grateful!"

"Pedro’s a dream to work with. First off, he’s extremely fast and does things right right off the bat. He has over a decade of experience and if anything, he charges way too little for his efforts. Secondly, he and his father-in-law are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! I have low energy levels and am quite introverted , meaning I lose a lot of energy interacting with others; interacting with Pedro lifts up my energy and gets me excited about work and life in general. I honestly can’t recommend Pedro enough. If you have a drywall project, do give him a call. You won’t regret it! The project he’s done for me was a newly built wall with door access between the upper and lower levels of my newly remodeled house. What he put in place looks like it’s always been there and was meant to be. It’s truly beautiful work!"

"We have hired Acustom Drywall on two occasions. Both instances have been fantastic. His work is outstanding! This time he fixed a problem with our ceiling. We can't even find where the hole was, and the paint job on the rest of our walls is just as impressive. Even better than the work is the person that is doing that work. Christopher is honest and fair. He explains everything and follows through with what he said he could do, never over promises but always delivers in full. He is the only person we will hire for any future drywall work we need to have done."

"These guys are awesome. On time and quality work. Not only did they repair all of my drywall after extensive plumbing issues, they also repaired my newly installed hardwood floor. I hired them again after another plumbing issue. And again, a fabulous job at a very fair price. I have these guys on my speed dial and in my contacts on my phone. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Don't look anywhere else, hire these guy's. They are fantastic at a very reasonable rate."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Professionals mount TVs using specialized tools and knowledge of different wall materials, ensuring safe support.

If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.

If you don’t have studs in the area where you want to install your TV mount, you may still be able to install a TV mount on drywall. The easiest way to install a mount on drywall is by using drywall anchors—but not just any plastic anchors. Choose molly bolts or toggle anchors, which have a weight capacity of around 50 pounds. For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.

Although they have similar applications, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Their primary differences lie in their composition, consistency, and ideal use cases.

Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it thicker than joint compound. It dries quickly and is easy to sand, which makes it ideal for small wall repair projects like filling nail holes or patching minor damage.

Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum. It is primarily used for large-scale projects, such as taping and finishing the seams on newly installed drywall. It tends to shrink more than spackle and can be more difficult to spread.

While both products can be used to fill small depressions and cracks, spackle cannot replace joint compound for taping and mudding new drywall. Conversely, you can often use joint compound for small patching jobs typically done with spackle.

Many homeowners choose to install tongue and groove over drywall. The great thing about this type of ceiling is that it hides imperfections. If your drywall is a little bit wonky or has some minor damage, the tongue and groove planks should cover it and give it an even appearance. Installation is simplest if you install battens over the existing framing before installing your tongue and groove planks.
