My only concern was the cost of the job, which was considerably more than I expected, and I felt that at least one component of the overall quote was quite unreasonable. I am referring to the cost of the expansion tank, which was quoted at $650.00, approximately $400.00 for the expansion tank itself, and approximately $233.00 for the labor cost of installing the expansion tank. Because this seemed excessively expensive to me, I looked online and found the required expansion tank at Home Depot for $39.50. So I went to Home Depot and purchased the expansion tank for $39.50, but I still had to pay Harts the $233.00 for installation of the expansion tank, which took the installer approximately 15 minutes."
