"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience with Coleson Electric LLC! The team was friendly, considerate, and got straight to work as soon as they arrived. They clearly knew what they were doing and handled the EV charger installation quickly and professionally. Everything was done neatly, and they made sure the setup looked clean and organized before finishing up. It’s refreshing to work with a company that’s both courteous and efficient. "We tried this on our own but had trouble with the connections. Though it was a tiny job, P.O.P. was understanding and helpful; their tech guy came the next day. He was quick, efficient, and friendly - fixed everything and explained the wiring and grounding pattern each step of the way. I wouldn't hesitate to contact this company for any future work."

"We are in the process of putting together a small hair salon and needed a licensed/bonded/insured electrician to be sure that the install of fixtures and wiring was to code requirements. After several months of planning and talking with numerous electricians on the phone, I found Troy, owner of Pacific Home Electric, to be by far, the best choice for the job. He was quite honest and up front about true costs of accessories, needing to do an on-site estimate for greatest pricing accuracy, and even went out of his way to tell me where to get my own fixtures to save even more money. Of the 5 licensed electricians I talked to, none of them would come and do a pre-estimate other than Troy at PHE. All others wanted to just schedule the appointment and gave me ballpark estimates of what the cost could be and left it open to "..depending on the situation when we see it." They showed up just a few minutes past the scheduled time due to GPS routing issues and this was quite understandable as I tend to live quite a ways away from their familiar territory. He and his journeyman got to work immediately upon arrival. They were well-prepared with a company van which seemed to be stocked with every conceivable item needed to tackle some of the odd on-demand requests I had made after the fact. This was amazing to me! The weather was exceptionally hot during the installation (102 degrees and no air conditioning!) but this didn't seem to faze them. They worked straight through the day, only stopping for 30 minutes to grab a quick lunch. At the end of the process, I made a last minute request to drop in an extra outlet and Troy even threw that in at no extra charge. So technically, the total came out lower than what the estimate would have been had I requested that up front. At the end of the day, Troy followed up with me again one last time to make sure that everything was well and that I was completely happy with the install, which I was. I've permanently affixed their business card to my wall next to the fuse panel and won't even need to think twice about calling them to do my next upcoming project or problem."

"I live in an older home built in the early 1950s. Ive had two professional electricians who tried to fix my non-functioning, connected front porch and living room ceiling light, to no avail. When Reed Residential Electric came to my home he analyzed a complex situation (a home with lots of remodeling over the years) and came to a solution. I have working lights again and so grateful! I highly recommend Reed Residential Electric."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The size of the microwave you choose may change this answer, but for standard over-the-range microwaves, 120 volts and a three-prong grounded outlet is needed for your device.

Yes, placing an electrical panel in a bedroom is perfectly acceptable, so long as it meets other space requirements as indicated by OSHA and related agencies. When installed in a bedroom, electricians typically place it in the area directly behind the door swing. This method allows for easy access when conducting electrical panel repairs.

While washers and dryers do not require a GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) outlet to function properly, electrical codes often mandate their use for safety. The National Electrical Code (NEC) requires GFCI protection for all outlets within six feet of a water source. This means a washer and dryer must be plugged into a GFCI outlet if they are installed in locations like a laundry room, utility room, garage, or basement. In other areas without a nearby water source, there is no specific requirement, but using a GFCI outlet is still recommended for extra peace of mind. It is always best to consult your local codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety.

Yes, you can daisy chain outlets, which involves connecting multiple outlets in series. However, ensuring the circuit can handle the additional load is important to avoid overloading and tripping the breaker. The total number of outlets on a single circuit should not exceed the recommended limit, typically eight on a 15-amp circuit. Hiring a licensed electrician is always advisable for complex installations or if you're unsure of what to do.

You can make a pigtail with either thermoplastic high-heat-resistant nylon-coated (THHN) wire or non-metallic (NM) cable, often referred to as “Romex.” Each pigtail requires a neutral wire, a ground wire, and a live wire. The gauge of your pigtail wires must match the gauge of those on the device.
