"Kitchen Visions - Carlstrom Construction LLC were too expensive to go forward with the work. In the end, I was going to have to buy my own tile. It was really a lot of money. It was like $25,000.00. They're do a lot of custom work and I didn't realize that, like custom cabinets. They tried to sell me custom cabinets and all that. But he was a very nice man. I won't be using them because they're so expensive."

"We had previously hired a handyman that did shoddy word and also did not complete our requested repairs.  We contacted Christopher the owner and explained what had happened.  Christopher personally came himself to remedy the situation.  He not only corrected all of the mistakes the previous handyman had made but also completed the unfinished jobs and even more.  He was punctual, efficient and a pleasure to work with! 
Repairing the cabinet and staining it to match was a very intensive project.  Christopher's employee Sarah, who is a top cabinet repairer as well as a interior painter, did an unbelievable job of staining the cabinet to match and also did a superb job of painting  the ceiling.

"I had a great experience working with Mike, Ken, Keren and the Palm Construction crew on the remodel of my 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in San Francisco. They did major work on my bathroom (completely gutted it) and kitchen (beautiful new cabinets and countertop/backsplash) with updated plumbing and electricity. They also installed recessed light in all the rooms and updated the floors throughout. My apartment feels so much more spacious and light, and I love being home. Every person I interacted with was professional and kind. Mike was extremely patient with me and my countless questions along with mini anxiety attacks as this was my first remodel. Ken was also very communicative and between him and Mike, I felt like I was in the care of friends. The designer they work with, Keren, is also amazing, kind and has fantastic taste. "I have an older home (1946) and needed repairs and sprucing up.  I was particularly impressed with the contractor's efforts to keep me fully informed to ensure I understood exactly what was taking place.  He also was extremely budget conscious and recommended ways to labor costs, such as packing up the kitchen and bathroom myself so I wasn't spending money for his guys to do it.  We shopped together for paint, trim and flooring and he was knowledgeable about quality and price of materials.  He steered me from higher priced material in one case and recommended  higher quality material in another case.  I heard the statement 'we have a problem'  three times and in each case, he came up with an effective, inexpensive solution. 
Completing all of my projects took about three weeks and he was just as involved with the sub-contractors as he was with his own crew.  He inspected the work during and after, and addressed any questions or concerns I had thoroughly and patiently.  The projects stayed absolutely on budget and there were no hidden costs or surprises.
The end result is that a serious drainage problem is corrected, the concrete safety hazard is no more,  tree limb damage is gone and yard looks great, the kitchen looks better than I could have imagine, I have new cabinet doors on the larger cabinets and the doors on the smaller cabinets now close completely, the hideous wallpaper is out of the bathroom and the walls look terrific.
The quality of all work done was outstanding.  The contractor was wonderful to work with (and I've heard lots of stories of modeling and repair nightmares. He was very responsive to phone calls and in person discussions.  The price was extremely reasonable.  The work was done on time and on budget.  I was kept fully informed and engaged.
I would gladly recommend the firm to family and friends for general contracting work, remodeling/renovation, cabinet work, painting and general repairs.
