Carlstrom Construction had completed an extensive kitchen remodel 8 months before. I called Sean Carlstrom and he arrived that day. He surveyed the damage, provided an estimate and, because it was an emergency, worked us in around the current jobs he was involved with. The repair involved tearing several layers of deck flooring out, installing a new sub floor with appropriate slope, researching a suitable solution, and preparing it for a technical coating. After the coating was installed, the necessary finish work was completed and repainted. In the bedroom, the ceiling was torn out, joists were cleaned and examined, new insulation installed, new drywall installed, and after painting, the molding was replaced. Before any work began, careful measures were taken to protect new hardwood floors throughout the work areas and their access. Although the final cost was more than first estimated, Sean kept us well-informed, provided options when possible, and arranged for us to deal directly with the recommended company to provide the final deck coatings so that we would qualify for the guarantee. We so appreciate that Sean Carlstrom responded to our emergency, scheduled us into his busy schedule, and worked with us to insure the best quality/ choices for materials, repairs, etc. Clearly, Carlstrom Construction feels a responsibility toward their customers and is interested in a continued relationship when needed."

"Installation went well.  Panasonic whisper fan installed with both time settings use or use of humidity reader.  Humidity reader never seemed to be working.  Could not control humidity in basement with the humidity reader.   Need to put a set cycle and amount of time to do this.   Nate researched with Panasonic how to use the humidity filter and spent an hour trying to get to work correctly.  He advised me to contact Panasonic about setting time frames and lenght of runs.

The timing of the project was important to me, as well as sensitivity to the needs of a tenant with an infant in one of the units and and elderly uncle and cousin living in the other. The management and crew dealt with this effectively, expediting the project to be completed within our timeframe and taking care not to leave hazardous conditions and kept the work areas tidy. A project manager provided oversight and communications. And as it turned out, rot was discovered behind one exterior wall when the old siding was removed that extended into the studs and floor joists. This necessitated the removal of interior sheetrock to repair the damage. The company arranged for the necessary repairs and restoration. All of the personal were delightful. They respectfully answered all our questions and promptly addressed additional needs that hadn’t occurred to us initially. We are delighted with the quality of materials and workmanship and have no complaints or regrets. I highly recommend 2FL for siding, door and window installation needs."
