"Nick and his team were exceptional - price was the best of all quotes I pulled, their communication was excellent and consistent, project photos and insights throughout and they left the site just as clean as they found it. I would recommend the Orbit Electric to my friends and family without a doubt."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience with Coleson Electric LLC! The team was friendly, considerate, and got straight to work as soon as they arrived. They clearly knew what they were doing and handled the EV charger installation quickly and professionally. Everything was done neatly, and they made sure the setup looked clean and organized before finishing up. It’s refreshing to work with a company that’s both courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Coleson Electric LLC to anyone looking for quality electrical work or an EV charger installation!"

"Initially involved in HVAC install (extremely high quality and timely work), when I had an electrical emergency with my distribution system Chad came to my house immediately and promptly identified the root cause, made a plan to fix it, and had my electrical system back up within a few hours in a much safer setup than it originally was!"

"They showed up exactly when they said they would(very important). They very courteous and knowledgeable with all aspects of work to be done. You would trust them in your house with whatever electrical work you need! Polite and explains everything while doing the work. It was like going to school, but the teacher does all the work. Also did some changes to original work and they accommodated that very easily. Have already referred them to other people in my office who need electrical work and wouldn't hesitate to refer Jason and his partner to anyone in need of electrical work."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.

When wiring a switch, the power typically comes into the receptacle first. The neutral wire goes straight to the outlet, while the hot wire is split. You'll need a wire nut to splice the hot wire back to one of the receptacles, but you will also tie another wire into that same wire nut and run to the switch. That way, you can control the flow of electricity to that particular receptacle by turning the switch on and off.

Daisy-chaining refers to placing multiple GFCI outlets in a row along the same circuit. This won’t do any harm, but it’s of limited usefulness because a properly-placed GFCI can monitor all downstream outlets on its own. Multiple GFCI installations won’t usually increase safety except in special cases.

If you have a lamp that flickers or doesn’t stay on, it’s a sign that it’s time to rewire it. Additionally, it’s important to rewire antique lamps so they’re safe to continue using without the risk of an electrical fire. If the plug on your lamp is more than 15 years old or you notice poor performance like flickering, you should hire a lamp repair service to rewire it. If you’re upgrading the bulbs in an antique lamp from incandescent to LED or CFL bulbs, rewire it so it’s compatible with the modern bulbs.

Yes, the National Electrical Code (NEC) requires that outdoor Christmas lights be plugged into a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet to prevent hazardous electrical shocks or an electrical fire. It’s a code violation to plug outdoor Christmas lights into a non-GFCI outlet, so be sure to follow these guidelines for a safe and successful installation.
