"Matt, the owner, called me back quickly, was easy to talk to, and got me right on their schedule. Devon came out to do the job and was super. He found the leak and used ingenuity, creativity, and know-how learned from "old school" plumbers to replace a bad ancient gasket. He was personable and ready to find the simplest solution (vs. other plumbers scaring me into thinking I might need a major costly overhaul). He showed me a video of where the leak was, and what he did. This company is terrific and has complete integrity. I can't recommend them enough. (Job was $200, plus $50 travel fee as I am out of their service area. Still a bargain!!!)"

"Jessy took the time to answer my questions and let me know that I didn't need to be concerned about some surface cracks that had been listed in our home inspection. He also gave me some advice about which logs to look for and gave me honest advice about the cost of upgrading the gas system I have. I really appreciated his help and will be calling back if we have any future fireplace or chimney needs."

"Professional speedy service, had a problem the next day and he came out immediately to explain what happened (which was nothing to do with installation). I love my new gas fireplace wish I had done it years ago!"

"Our roofer alerted us to the need to repair the concrete cap on our chimney. Powers came out and gave us a bid which was in the ballpark as the other bid we got. The third company we talked to did not seem capable of doing the job. Powers pressure washed, repaired and sealed the chimney. We are happy with their results."

"Recommending Art is a no brainer after my experience. He had availability same day to give me an estimate for a new line for a gas dryer and was available next day to install it. He showed up on time and did a thorough job, even showing me how to check for leaks when the dryer arrived and we connected it. When the dryer arrived and the connetion didn't fit the line, he came back out to troubleshoot and made sure the dryer was working before he left at no additional charge. Great guy, great work!"

"They were on time. They explained why the old water heater leaked and how they brought the new one up to code. I now better understand my water heater. It also looks great. I'd recommend them to anyone. They will get it done right, and only right."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Most likely, a gas plumber would be the best pro for many components in your home, and you might not even realize it. Natural gas plumbers are responsible for maintaining and installing natural gas lines, including installing appliances that use natural gas. These can include:

  • Fireplaces

  • Water heaters

  • Furnaces

  • Hot tubs

  • Clothes dryers

  • Ovens

  • Outdoor grills

Gas plumbers are also the pros that would handle a natural gas leak in your home, so it's essential to know the signs of a gas leak before it becomes a dangerous situation.

The most significant benefit of having a gas grill over a propane grill is that you never run out of fuel unless there’s an outage in your area, which is rare. Unlike with a propane grill, you’ll never need to haul tanks back and forth to a local fill station, and you’ll never find yourself unable to use your grill because you forgot to refill your tanks. Gas grills also burn slightly cleaner than propane grills, and natural gas costs significantly less than propane, meaning it’s more affordable to run your grill.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease

Propane sales companies typically offer propane delivery, tank installation and maintenance, grilling refills, and emergency support for supply interruptions.
