"Eagle and Sons did a fantastic job with our new gas fireplace...we are so pleased! Very courteous and professional father and sons team. When the fireplace screen came out of the box with a small hole in it from shipping... Hunter arranged to have a replacement delivered and stayed until 8PM so that he could finish the job same day. Excellent pipe and electrical work... neat and professional. They came back the following week at no charge to install an additional valve for easier access... their suggestion not mine. We will hire these guys to replace our gas furnace and add air conditioning when it's time to do that in a year or so. Highly recommend."

Gas Fireplace Service questions, answered by experts

Although a gas company supplies gas to homes, connecting gas appliances, like a dryer, is not their responsibility. The primary role of a gas company is to safely deliver gas to a property and maintain the gas supply lines up to a specific point, typically the gas meter or shut off valve. The task of installation is usually taken on by the homeowner or professional dryer installer.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease

Installing a gas stove can incrementally increase home value. While it may not have the same dramatic impact as a major renovation, it's a valuable asset for many potential buyers, particularly avid home cooks who prefer the precise control and responsiveness of gas burners. A gas stove can enhance a kitchen's functionality and attractiveness, making the property more appealing. However, the extent of the value increase depends on factors like the local real estate market, the stove's quality, and overall kitchen condition. So, while not a major game-changer, a gas stove can contribute positively to a home's overall appeal and resale value.

Regular inspections, cleaning, and checking of exhaust systems maintain safe operation, ensuring efficiency.

Some new appliances you add during a home improvement project may qualify for tax breaks. You could receive a tax deduction if the appliances are going into a rental property. If the appliances qualify for energy-efficiency tax breaks, you may also be able to take a tax break.
