"Tracy did a fantastic job! He replaced old baseboards in my home and trimmed two doors. I’m so impressed that I have already asked him to come back to install interior doors and crown molding. He gave great advice and provides great results. Very professional and a really nice guy. My cat can’t wait for him to come back! Hire this professional for great work & a great price. I highly recommend him."

"Walter and Glen at Protect Your Home Group with ADT are the best people to talk to in terms of security alarm. Being a locksmith myself I know how important it is to deal with the right people. I referred a lot of customers to them and so far they are happy with their service. I myself got one for my house. Thank you for a consistent service and great deal."
"Here is the deal. If you are looking for a professional who treats you like family...Keith Horton is the man! Within 5-minutes of meeting Keith I knew we were going to do business with his fine company. We talked about 3 different projects. 1st project was to take our 1972 Living Room down to studs and bring it into 2019. Wood paneling was removed, a bar area was removed, bookshelves removed, new walls were installed, doors were moved and he created more space for the master closet that used to be the bar area, plumbing work was accomplished, electrical work, can lighting installed, new ceiling installed, trimmed out everything, primed and painted to finish . From demo to finished product in 3-weeks! Every day the work area was cleaned up and he did everything possible to keep the dust spreading to other parts of the home. Outstanding job and could not ask for anything more. 1st project complete. Next he is going to build a screened in porch off of the living room. The 3rd project is to build my 24 x 30 detached garage. Keith...thank you for everything and know we will do business again real soon."
"I can’t say enough about this service. They clearly knew how to evaluate and fix the door. Unfortunately, it required more than I wanted To do, and they graciously took it out and disposed of the door. The price was fair, and the guys wonderful. I could not recommend them more."
"I made the appointment online and was contacted immediately with a quote and a start date. I was contacted 24 hours before the job was to start to confirm and to let me know that the materials would be dropped off ahead of time. Mr. Handyman did an amazing job! The service technician (Rick Edwards) was on time, professional and exceeded my expectations! The job was completed in less time than was quoted and the cost was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman and will definitely be using them again."
Deadbolts are solid and durable as can be, but the pin and tumbler can still be forced open, thus making this type of lock susceptible to picking. Most types of deadbolts are harder to pick than a traditional spring-based lock, though. It requires a specialized lock pick and a tension wrench to align all of the pins, thus unlocking the door.
Changing door locks is a task that most homeowners can accomplish on their own. Standard door knobs are quite straightforward, and even more advanced locks, like electronic or smart locks, generally come with instructions. That said, the process can be time-consuming, especially if you plan to replace multiple locks around the house. It’s also a task that you want to complete correctly, considering that it affects the security of your house. That’s why hiring a pro is often best when changing your door locks.
A deadbolt differs from a regular lock in its design, construction, and security level. Regular locks are typically used for interior doors, such as for bedrooms and bathrooms, and provide minimal security. They are easy to install and use, often featuring a simple locking mechanism on the inside. In contrast, a deadbolt is one of the most secure locks you can install on an exterior door. Its internal construction is designed to withstand significant force, adding a crucial layer of security that can deter intruders. While deadbolts may be more expensive and complicated to install, they are cost-effective for the security they provide and are built to hold up to wear and tear.
Keyless locks are often considered safer since they’re protected by passcodes instead of a physical key, making it harder to be picked. However, they are not infallible. And like all electronic devices, outdated models are more prone to problems and safety concerns. If you’ve experienced multiple lockouts in the past year, or your lock is responding slower than usual after you key in the passcode, it might be time to upgrade to a newer one. Even if your lock is working fine, you should still change your access code at least twice a year.
In general, keyless door locks are considered safe, and their security depends on the type and quality of the lock. They cannot be picked like a traditional lock and often include added features like biometric access, PIN codes, and smartphone connectivity, which can make them more secure. However, they are not without risks. Potential vulnerabilities include hacking for Wi-Fi-connected models, battery failure, power outages, and technical malfunctions. To maximize security, it is important to choose a reliable brand, stay on top of software updates, and perform regular maintenance. While the risks are different, keyless locks are not considered more dangerous than traditional locks.
