"Technician Assessed The Job Gave A Fair Price And Applied The Coupon From Angie's List! The Washer Drain Was Unclogged By Getting On The Roof (Who Knew) And Is Working Great! We Had Bought A Replacement Faucet And Handles; Just In Case Replacing Was The More Sensible Option Vs Repairing And As It Turns Out The Kit That Would Have Been Needed To Repair Our Dated Faucet And Handles Would Have Taken More Time And Money! Now Installing The New One Still Was No Small Task, But Our Technician Worked Diligently And I'm Happy To Report No More Drip! Atomic Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Is Definitely Our New Go To For Future Plumbing Needs!"

"I had JES install a crawl space encapsulation and sump pump system a month ago. Upon returning from vacation I located some water on top of the sealant cover and called JES. Brian Reiner and Jordan Carmony arrived within an hour, explained what had occurred and made simple repairs. Very professional outfit and another example that you get what you pay for. All good"

"You be the judge. I wasn't sold what I received however, the crew was friendly but the sales guy and company leaders are nothing more than a money grab. Check out the home Depot jacks they installed after selling me much larger beefier ones. Just another chump company of you ask me. I actually had to earn my money."

"Trevor solved the problem with our shower drain pipe. We consulted a lot of plumbers before him but they could not figure out what to do and so overpriced. Trevor worked on it on the spot. He is great! 5.0 is not enough. TRPlumbing will always be our go-to company for all our plumbing projects or issues."

""Not all heroes wear capes" The installer of our NEW Geothermal unit determined what the problem was, but then could not help us. (Even once C&G knew what they needed to do after the pumps would be replaced, they still abandoned us. ) Chris (I believe that was the name from C&G) called me back on the weekend and determined what was required, He then took the initiative to hunt down the needed replacements. When he learned they were no longer made, he then determined the options and handled everything, including finding a similarly responsive HVAC service (Ivan's Heating and Cooling) that would complete the hook up to the newly installed geothermal unit. After 5 days with no AC, he and another company fixed the problem the next morning. Outstanding service."

"Tim did a great job with the replacement of our water heater. Even though it was the day after Thanksgiving he moved some of his other appointments around to come to our home that afternoon. Tim and his assistant were careful to put on shoe covers in the house and to observe COVID 19 precautions. The job required more complicated plumbing since we have a desuperheater loop from our geothermal heat pump that connects to the water heater; the additional charge for this work was minimal. Tim was here until after 5:00 that evening, with the result that we had hot water over the weekend."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.

The most common cause of a clogged sump pump is natural debris buildup. As water enters the sump pit, it can carry small pieces of debris that build up over time, or the debris can get caught in the filter. If you forget to cover the pit after cleaning the sump pump and pit, debris can also collect in the pit. Corrosion on the metal discharge pipe can also clog the pump. Additionally, if your pipes freeze, it can prevent water from draining properly and cause a clog.

Sump pumps prevent basement flooding, reduce humidity, and protect against water damage.

Yes, you can add a battery to your existing sump pump. There are batteries available that can be plugged into your existing system; however, most battery backups come as a complete system and act as a replacement for your existing sump pump.

Start by calling a plumber if you want to install a sump pump battery backup. Talk to them about your situation and needs. Sometimes, electricians or waterproofing contractors will install a battery backup, and in that case, the plumber you call should be able to point you in the right direction.
